Just one final push and reminder that our Family Memories Day is happening on Bank Holiday Monday, from 1pm–4pm! 🏡

We’ve got a fantastic afternoon lined up for everyone, with something for all ages.

Our Sponsor a Slate fundraiser is still running, so come and have a chat with us if you’d like to find out more or sponsor a slate towards our Village Hall Roof Fund.

Have you seen our two new village hall event signs? We think they look great!

Also thanks to one of our fabulous committee volunteers Marion for planting up our planters and having a good tidy up around the front of the hall.

Its looks so inviting.... just in time for our family memories day on bank holiday monday, 1 til 4.

Don’t forget, on Monday 31st August, we’re holding our Family Memories Day at the village hall!

Come along and take a trip down memory lane as we look through some wonderful old photographs of Castle Acre, (feel free to bring your own for us to have a look at too) while enjoying a lovely piece of cake and a tea or coffee. ☕🍰

There will also be entertainment for the children outside, including a fabulous bouncy castle, kindly donated to us by the generous Inflate-a-bubbles

Fancy leaving your own little piece of history at the Village Hall? For just £10, you can sponsor a slate from the hall roof and have your own name, message or dedication written on it before it goes back onto the roof.

Maybe you have a special memory of the hall, celebrated a wedding there, spent time there as a child, or simply want to support this much-loved village building. ❤️

Your sponsored slate and its message will also be recorded in a book kept at the hall, as well as being made available online — creating a little snapshot of the people and memories connected to the hall for future generations.

We are offering everyone the opportunity to 'Sponsor a Slate' for £10 from the castle acre village hall roof.

If you would like you to Sponsor a Slate you would need to go to our just giving page and leave the name or message you'd like on your slate in the comments. Maybe you would dedicate it to a loved one who used the hall in the past, maybe you got married here, the ideas are endless!

When the tiles are off, that message will be written in white permanent marker pen and placed back on the roof.
Your slate and message will be put into a book that will stay in the hall and also made available online for future generations to examine.

A survey has revealed many problems with the old roof over the east end of the hall. Tiles slipping, felt falling apart, water getting in, timbers rotting, insect infestation and no insulation. Repairs are urgent - we need your help.

Join us for our event 'fundraising the roof.'
Our wonderful communities support is crucial to help us raise the money to repair the roof on our much loved village hall.
Keep an eye on the page for details of what to expect on the day, however a huge part of it will be the slide show of old village photographs.
It'll be on loop from 1 until 4 so why not take a seat, grab a cuppa and cake, and put your feet up whilst taking a look into Castle Acres past. See if you can give us any names!
Feel free to bring along any of your own photos to show to us. Its always good to see what people have got stashed away.

Its also a chance to meet the volunteers on the committee and have a look around the hall and see where all the money get spent. We think you'll see some changes if you haven't been for a while.

Spread the word, and keep your eyes peeled for more things we will be doing on the day.

An amazing concert by The Big Heart & Soul Choir who have been meeting and practising in Castle Acre Village Hall for 30 years.
Join the celebration on Sunday 19th July 3:30pm in St. James Church Castle Acre, part of the Kings Lynn Fringe Festival. Tickets £15.00 on the door (under 14s free) which includes tea & homemade scones. There will also be a raffle - proceeds to go towards the village hall fund-raising for the new roof.

Really sad to come down on this lovely sunny day to find someone has seen fit to dump a load of stinking garden rubbish in our carpark.
We are charity based and purely run by volunteers. Luckily I've been informed that one of our volunteers is kindly going to clear this smelly mess up or we'd have to pay our gardener to do so. Not a nice job for anyone.
We are infact trying to raise money, not waste it.

Sadly this isn't the first time this has happened. Please villagers, be vigilant and keep an eye out.

fly tipping is a criminal offence!
