We host car boot sales, antique and flea markets, wedding fayres, and the biggest Dairy Event in West Wales. Site & Facilities

The show site extends to some 20 acres immediately around the exhibition hall and grandstand which is just part of the 80 acre site which the United Counties Society owns. Any part or all of the site can be hired for events of all types. Many events held on the site enco

urage visitors to bring their own mobile homes, caravans and tents and this makes it an ideal venue for gatherings which take place over a number of days. The main ring is more than an acre in size and is ideal for outdoor summer events. Maintained with short grass it is ideal for displays and competitions of all types. Events can be viewed from the grandstand which seats visitors in comfort so that they have an excellent view of the proceedings. Hiring the Site

The Showground is situated in a prime position 1 mile west of Carmarthen within easy reach of the M4. It is just off the A40 dual carriageway, which is the main route into Pembrokeshire and to the Irish Ferries. Facilities for Hire

Our large indoor exhibition area (60m x 37m) is a popular venue for staging a variety of events and exhibitions. A smaller hall is available under the grandstand, this is a favourite for a variety of clubs holding weekly meetings and has been used for many smaller events. In addition a meeting room is available, this is useful for smaller conferences/meetings/training sessions for up to 50 people. The Showground consists of 100 acres of level grassed areas with two main Arena Rings one of which is 200m x 90m with a 300 seat grandstand. The access is excellent, direct from the A40 dual carriageway with good entrance roads and an internal road structure of approximately 3.5 miles. There is a large hard standing car parking area with additional overflow capability.

IMPORTANT UPDATE – SUNDAY MORNING CAR BOOT SALES

To all our Sunday morning car booters, sellers and buyers,

We would like to let you know that there will be NO Sunday Morning Car Boot Sales during September and October at Carmarthen Showground.

We have several major events taking place at the Showground over these two months. To avoid any confusion over which Sundays the car boot is on or cancelled, we have made the decision to cancel all Sunday car boots throughout September and October. Will be back in November.

We hope you understand our decision. We know many of you regularly support our car boots, and we really appreciate your continued support.

Antiques and flea will still go ahead on the 15th Novemeber.

We will update you with new car boot dates as soon as possible, so please keep an eye on our page.

Class Age Group Task
Class 1 Under 16 Competitors to place one ring of four cattle.
Class 2 Under 28 and over 21 Competitors to place two rings of four cattle.
Class 3 Under 21 and over 16 Competitors to place two rings of four cattle and give reasons on one ring.

Timing:
10 minutes will be allowed for inspection and handling.

Dress:
White coats must be worn throughout the competition.
