Congratulations to Ashleigh and Zane 🎃🤘

What a start to this year's ceremonies!

How things change, 12 years ago, myself and played Ashleigh's 16 birthday party, sitting around a fire until the early hours, eating cold garlic bread, I'm sure neither of us seen this coming. 😂 (see last pic for the 16th birthday)

It was an absolute pleasure to lead their ceremony, made even more special by having a connection with their families, little did they expect to get their parents perspectives on their relationship and their big move from long distance relationship, to living together in Carlisle. ❤️

Always fun getting to work with Nic of , the pictures I've seen so far are amazing. 📸

Nice of her to try and steal the spotlight by tripping over the wedding arch during the ceremony, I'll let her off as it had the whole place in stitches. 😂😂

We won't talk of the power cut and being in candle light from 6:30pm, but I'm sure, one day, they will both look back and laugh. 😊

On Tuesday, I had the huge honour of leading a celebration of life for our friend Becca.

Through Mikey and music, Becca became part of our lives and we became her extended English family, always catching up at gigs and nights out.

Sadly she was taken from us far far too early. ❤️

When her partner Keith and her closest friends entrusted me with the ceremony, I knew I had to get it right for them all, so with stories galore, the perfect send off was crafted.

I hope that just hearing some of those stories again brought a tear, and a smile for the most wonderful of memories.

Better late than never, Happy New Year everyone, I hope you all had an amazing festive period.

I took a couple of weeks of rest time, no work, no gigs, no weddings, and spent the new year in Krakow, and I loved it! Fully recharged and ready to go again in 2026.

This weekend I was back to gigging, script writing for a friend's celebration of life ❤️, and booked in an amazing couple for a July wedding, once we finally managed to get our time differences to line up. They are in New Zealand.

So that's it really, it's all systems go, it's busying up again, I can't wait to see what 2026 holds for me.

And for those who are new here, I'm Dave, alternative wedding celebrant, I'm based in Carlisle, Cumbria. But don't let my location fool you, I'm available anywhere as everywhere! 🤘😁

So if you're looking for a ceremony that will have people laughing, crying, cheering and walking away saying, I didn't know a wedding could be like that, that was amazing! Then I'm your man.

Congratulations Dave & Sue ❤️🤘

What an awesome couple to wrap up the year with.

These guys were a pleasure from start to finish, they had a vision and together we brought it all to life.

A few first times too, first winter solstic wedding, full introduction and story telling of all the guests, all of us seated, I had a lovely wing backed chair, it was like story time with Dave.

Along with their friends and family they transformed a theatre into a Solstice winter wonderland, it really was amazing to see and be a part of.

What a day! Thanks for having me 🥰

Having a celebrant led wedding, is about making your ceremony fit your personality. Yes it can feel like a wedding but people will walk away from your big day knowing so much more about you and your amazing story. 🥰

It's about you reliving the fun times you've had along the way, and the excitement of what the next chapter will bring.

This may be the part where I reminded Kieran about his early dating nerves, where he thought Lucy was a hunchback due to a football shirt she was wearing in one of her pics. 😂😂😂😂

So whatever your ideal wedding day looks like, talk to a celebrant, we are here to bring your

When the groom is an avid gamer, does the achievement get any bigger and better than this? 😍

What a fantastic little addition to Megan and Andy's first kiss.

Megan, who also shares Andy's love of gaming, had this made especially for this moment. For weeks ahesd of the ceremony, she had it wrapped in black plastic and convinced Andy it was just the weight to keep her dress bag straight 🤣🤣

His face lit up after this moment when I showed him what she had done for him.

What an awesome day!

Congratulations Kieran & Lucy ❤️🤘🎉

14 years ago, I met Kieran and his family whilst on tour with Falling Red.

I don't think when we sat in his house and recorded and acoustic session for his dad's radio show, that we could have ever predicted that one day I would conduct his wedding day, and to the absolute love of his life Lucy.

It has been a pleasure getting to know more and more about this wonderful pair, they have such genuine love for each other, that just oozes out of them when they are around each other.

Congratulations Megan & Andy 🧛🎉🎃

How awesome do these guys look? 😍

On Sunday, I had the honour of leading their wedding ceremony.

I asked if they wanted to walk away, they said Hell No! And did a shot of whisky to seal the deal.

From the dress, Andy's suit, the makeup to the decor and fire performers, this was a gothic dream.

always looks stunning but with the touch of it was transformed in to a venue fit for a Vampires Ball.

From our first coffee as complete strangers, It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know these guys better and finding out just why they are so perfect for each other.
