Congratulations to everyone who took part in this year's Crop Competition, held on 8 and 9 July 2026, and thank you for supporting another successful event.

The standard of entries was exceptionally high, making the judging a real challenge. A special thank you goes to Mr Fraser Shaw, who had the difficult task of selecting the winners from such outstanding fields of crop.

Unfortunately, several competitors were unable to attend the Prize Presentation Evening as they were busy with the harvest. We were, however, delighted to catch up with our Champion, Graham Prudham, this morning to present him with his well-deserved awards. Congratulations, Graham!

💪🏆 Cumberland & Westmorland Wrestling once again drew a huge crowd and provided one of the highlights of the day, with spectators gathering ringside to enjoy the action and atmosphere.

Well done to everyone who competed and showcased the skill, strength and tradition of this fantastic sport. Congratulations to Jack Brown on winning the prestigious 14st World Championship a tremendous achievement! 👏🥇

🐕💜 Phase Purple Dog Agility kept the crowds entertained in the Drainwise Civils Ltd Countryside Ring with a fast-paced and action-packed display! From impressive jumps to lightning-fast runs, the talented dogs and their handlers wowed spectators throughout the day. 🐾✨

🐶✨ The Cumbria Beagles provided fantastic entertainment in the Main Ring and were a huge hit with visitors of all ages! One of the highlights of the day was seeing the children join in and race the beagles – there were plenty of smiles, laughter and unforgettable memories made. 🏃‍♂️🐾

A wonderful display that kept the crowd thoroughly entertained and brought so much joy to our younger visitors. 👏🌟

🐎✨ Some fantastic action from the Equine Rings at this year’s show! From elegant displays to exciting competition, there was plenty to keep spectators entertained throughout the day.

Congratulations to all the riders and exhibitors who showcased their talent, dedication and beautiful horses. A wonderful celebration of all things equestrian! 🏆👏

🦅✨ The fabulous Walworth Birds of Prey were a real crowd favourite at this year’s show! Their spectacular displays and close encounters captivated visitors of all ages, showcasing the beauty, power and grace of these magnificent birds.
