Charles Deans became paralysed in 2006 after a routine operation and suffered from depression. He becomes dependent on prescriptive drugs, put on seven stone in weight, became a recluse and life went spiralling downwards. He recently accepted help and has made an astounding recovery. He decided to have a go at climbing a Wainwright in his wheelchair which he managed. Now things are on the up. His plan is to eventually complete all the Wainwrights once Covid-19 is over so he doesn't become a potential burden on Mountain Rescue. In the meantime he has taken on the challenge of pushing his wheelchair around local roads to cover the distance between Lands End and John O' Gorats. The money he is hoping to raise will all be donated to two charities close to his heart. These are Eden Valley Hospice and The Calvert Trust.
This is a music video of his daughter and her friend showing his attempt to make a difference to his life and the charities he is supporting. Hopefully it can be an inspiration to others.
Please share this if you can. Help Charles Deans smash his target for Eden Vally Hospice and The Calvert Trust.
Thank you
