Received these beautiful flowers from a family that released doves to celebrate a much loved husband, dad,grandad, father in law and liquorice assort lover yesterday!

We were booked to take our doves to Danny's funeral last year at Cardiff & Glamorgan Memoria.

The family booked us again for the first birthday without him last August, and made me feel very welcome at their home in Barry.

Yesterday would have been Danny's 80th birthday. We met up with his darling wife Mo, his lovely daughter and family to release the doves.

We are so blessed to be meeting such lovely people because of our doves. 🙏❤️🕊🕊

The biggest reward, is getting a massive cwtch from people we have just served at the most difficult times in their lives.
And this morning, we didn't just get one, we got 2! Our dove Alfie sent with love for a very special gent, and he did everyone proud.
We love fresh yellow roses, so thought we'd show you these.

Its always lovely to work with Simon and his team from Co-op funeral care, and we are greatful for being their trusted, recommended supplier. Thanks to Kirsty in Tonypandy for booking this one with us.

They are very knowledgeable and artistic people. We see lots of venue stylists these days do incredible things with faux flowers. Some call themselves, others refer to them as florists. In many cases they don't work with fresh florals at all, so aren't florists.

A florist works with fresh flowers, has the knowledge on what flowers work well together, what flowers will kill its oasis buddy, whats in season to give you options. These are florists, and they have an incredible talent.

Also another reason to Support your Local florists, we often have people commenting on "what a lovely job to have" , "all you do is wrap flowers " and many other quotes , but Floristry isn't as easy as people think, there are many different areas to the job, from serving on the phone - face-face , online , constant cleaning and changing water to rotate our stock and keep our shop fronts full and beautiful for you all to see, not to mention that we have to make up the orders, often within a short space of time for delivery slots or collections in shops, we have to know about all the flowers etc when taking wedding orders, and we have to be supporting and caring when its a sympathy order , not to mention keeping the displays inside and out nice and tidy , make sure the plants are watered, getting things organised for our drivers to deliver and many many more things within the day.

But when people walk in , they only see the shop and the flowers, not always the hard work we do to keep on the high street , we aren't supermarkets , where you walk in and get " a bunch" of flowers, we create our bouquets so you won't have the same one as everyone else !
Yes it is hard work at times But for us it is so very rewarding because every florist I know LOVES their job , that's why we do it , and why we are here for YOU, and this "Fun Fact" just goes to show how special and unique our talents really are .
