3 things you’ll need…

…to take your side hustle full time…

1. Savings 💰
Let’s start with the practicalities 😄 you’ll need to have some funds put aside. Not only whilst you hit the ground running, but you’ll find self employed life so much easier if you have a buffer in case you get sick and can’t work, or have a lean month without much cash flow.

2. Momentum 🚂
Having consistent sales/a decent client base behind you will make all the difference when you’re starting out. Everyone’s comfort level will be different here but in my experience if you’re hitting your income goals 3 out of 5 months, it’s time for the big leap!

3. A Plan 💡
Now don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t have to be a super detailed Bells-and-whistles business plan. I’ve never had one of those 🤷🏻‍♀️
But I did map out where I wanted my business to go, what I wanted to earn and how much I needed to sell to make that happen.

And a bonus tip…?

A coach, mentor or likeminded business group will really skyrocket 🚀 your progress.

But anyway - normal sunflowers are normally too big for things like buttonholes, corsages and even the bouquets sometimes!

So if I’ve got a Sunflower wedding I always order this variety in too. They’re called Sonja and are super cute!

What's your biggest lesson of 2026 so far?

I know… it's *slightly* early for reflection 😄

But we're officially past the halfway point of the year, so I think it's actually the perfect time to pause and think about what's working (and what isn't!)

I'll go first 👇

Mine is this: ✨ Playing to my strengths needs to be a priority ✨

And not just in business… in *everything*

I know I struggle with consistency, so when I'm feeling motivated, I batch my content and emails. That way, they're still working hard for me even when I'm not feeling particularly productive 😄

I also know I lose interest when I don't see an immediate reward or return… so I've started making sure I reward myself along the way to keep the vibes high 😂

And my zone of genius? 💐FLORALS 💐

Being creative for a living is such a privilege, and I think I often forget that the thing that comes so naturally to me is actually one of my biggest strengths.

So, really, I'm just putting this here as a reminder to myself 💕

Tips for ‘just engaged’ couples…

…if you found something sparkly being presented to you this summer, Congratulations! 🥳

Don’t forget to save for later and share with your newly engaged friends! 💍

1. Get that gorgeous ring insured ASAP. In some cases you can just add it to your house insurance 👌🏻 but depending on the value, it may need its own policy.

2. Celebrate the way you want to! Cake and champagne was the perfect celebration for us 🎂 🥂 big or small, be sure to do something to mark the occasion. It’s a really big life event after all!

3. Add Mickey & Minnie Mouse to your invitation list! ⚫️🎀⚫️ they send you the sweetest postcard in response - we keep ours on the fridge 🥰
