Every year brings a new wave of wedding trends, but this summer there's definitely a shift towards weddings that feel more personal, intentional and full of character 🀍

Some of these trends I absolutely love, some I'm still undecided on... πŸ‘€

Which one is your favourite?

And is there a trend you're seeing everywhere at the moment that I missed? ✨

It is totally possible to create your dream Pinterest wedding without the Pinterest budget. Here's my advice on how to use your budget to create the wedding of your dreams:

1. Start with your priorities.

Decide what matters the most to you and put your budget here first. You don't need to spend equally on everything; spend intentionally on your priorities.

2. Repurpose where you can.

Ceremony flowers can become recption flowers. Your end of aisle display can be your top table dΓ©cor. Reuse the dΓ©cor that you have spent money on across different parts of the day.

3. Choose quality over quantity.

A few thoughtful details often have more impact than lots of smaller ones. Decide which details you love and invest in them, rather than in everything.

4. Hire suppliers you trust.

Experienced suppliers can help you maximise your budget and avoid costly mistakes. They'be been doing this for a while, let them offer advice!

5. Remember Pinterest isn't reality.

Most inspiration photos are from styled shoots or larger budgets. Take inspiration from the feeling and choose the parts you love, not the exact table layouts.

A wedding planner isn't just there to make things look pretty.

They're the timeline keeper, supplier communicator, problem solver, organiser, sounding board and the person making sure all the little details come together seamlessly.

Most couples only plan one wedding. We do it over and over again.

This weekend I celebrated my 21st birthday with my gorgeous friends and family.

I am so grateful for everyone who celebrated with me. I loved 20, it's the year Elizabeth & Ivy was born. I can't wait to see what we can do during 21.

Thank you for all of the continued support 🩷

I didn't realise how much I'd enjoy planning weddings and events until I started doing it.

It's having an idea and seeing it slowly become something real. Being able to create something and the feeling of seeing a final product is unmatched.

I realise it everytime I start to see the event I'm planning forming and taking shape. When the ideas start to find the ground and become something real.

It's the moments after a successful meeting, where a supplier tells me "yes we can do that!" It's a venue visit when I find the perfect space I've been envisioning in my head. It's when the client sees their event for the first time, and I get to see their dream turn into a reality.

I've always like planning. But I didn't realise how creative I'd get to be, and how much I'd love it.
