A note about accessibility.
is a step up from the street, there is a ramp that coffee shop staff can put out for people who may need a ramp to get in. The doorway into the event space is a double door which will remain open. The toilet is single occupancy, accessible and gender neutral, with a counter for baby changing too. The corridor down to the toilet is also wide and free of obstruction.

Based on feedback from last year we will not be playing any music in order to try to keep volume manageable for everyone.

If you have any questions or require any assistance on the day please message us, the Hand Limit team will be on hand to try to help, and listen to your feedback to make future events as accessible as possible.

About a year ago we got all our friends together, invited everyone and anyone, lugged almost our entire board game collection to the best coffee shop in the city, gave out prizes kindly donated by our collaborators and local businesses, got temporary tattoos, ate a lot of sweets and drank a lot of iced coffee, played lots of games and raised money for a worthy cause. In two days we’re doing it all again. We hope to see you there!

And if you get a chance to play a game with Hand Limit founder, Siôr aka Skullen, might we suggest Wandering Towers because they never know where their wizards are and it’s hilarious.

Not long to go now until our second ever Pride Board Game Club event, and our 4th Hand Limit Board Game club. We cannot wait to spend the afternoon with , , and all of you lot at the lovely .

Spend the whole day with us, and play a few games, pop by after the parade while you wait for the queue to calm down or pop by for a break if you need it, play a game or two, check out the games for sale, get a lil gay temporary tattoo, and try to win some cool prizes on the Kitsch Flamingo tombola in aid of the BeYou project which is part of

We’re back for another year of Canterbury Pride!

Come and join us at for board games on Saturday 6th June. It makes for a perfect break from the hustle and bustle of the main Pride event returning this year to Dane John Gardens.

Grab yourself a coffee and have a go at one of our games, or bring your own and make new friends!

The other day we played the delightful 6 Nimmt!

This was a very fun game to play over a game of coffee. Quick to grasp but had a good level of strategy that only really became apparent after getting burned a few times.

📚A Place For All Your Books📕
(Zone name inspired by Smirk & Dagger's board game: A Place For All My Books)

The Canterbury Gaming Convention's author and book zone hosted by Books & Brews and Mark Stay

Within the zone, we have a line up of fantastic authors covering many ages and genres. You will be able to meet all of these wonderful guests throughout the weekend. We will also have a small library of books written by the Authors in attendance, along with comfortable seating to sit back and read if you need a break from the busy convention.

Zone open for reading and shopping 10am-5pm each day.
6pm Saturday - Panels with the Authors hosted by Books & Brews and Mark Stay.
8pm Saturday - Board games with the Authors including "A Place For All My Books"

Also, it is Mark Stay's birthday today 🎉 so please join us in wishing him a wonderful day and thank you for all you have done for the event so far!
