Our splendid music department offers a broad range of opportunity. Our aim is for music to be fun and productive, ensuring that pupils can progress to the best of their ability. We are fully committed to both the enjoyment of music and promoting the highest standards. Many pupils learn a musical instrument, perform in our choirs or instrumental ensembles, study music or music technology at GCSE an

d A-level and take part in our many musical events or tours abroad. Pupils who enjoy performing at any level are most welcome to get involved in the dynamic and exciting programme of music making at Kent College and anyone may attend our busy programme of concerts. You will be most welcome.

KC pianists had a busy and most successful day at the Rochester Festival on the first Saturday of the Easter holiday. It is wonderful to be able to report some amazing results from all those who played. Special thanks to Mrs Bailie for organising and coaching all the players for this very special occasion. What an exciting day for Kent College’s four students who are choristers in Canterbury Cathedral’s world class choir. An incredible achievement for Poppy, Martha, Rosie and Dorothy who played a significant role in leading the outstanding music at the Installation of the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury, Sarah Mullally. This included a spectacular performance of ‘All shall be well’ by Joanna Marsh, and the setting of Psalm 150 by Matthew Martin live on BBC one, and in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales. We are so proud of you all - well done! Kent College Canterbury
