I’m an independent, award-winning florist who’s passionate about providing unique floral designs. to funeral tributes. Large-scale installations and displays for weddings and events are my forte. As a freelancer, I work with fellow designers or event professionals to create their vision as well as the general public. I work to each client's individual clients and their particular requirements. As

every job is bespoke, so I quote individually but, as a rule of thumb, I charge a daily labour rate of £150 which excludes materials. I’m based in Kent but happy to travel when required. I was so pleased and somewhat relieved yesterday morning to find a medal displayed at the foot of my design at .

Relieved because I could’ve done better, and there was a possibility I may not have been awarded anything at all!

I successfully gave myself a challenge and stepped out of my comfort zone. I wanted to create something different, not the usual flower-heavy sort of thing I usually make.
It's not my finest work, alas, but I delivered exactly what was promised in the design, and I know now how to improve for the future.

It’s been on a steep learning curve and I’m deeply honoured to be included in such a prestigious event and work amongst a group of fabulous and seriously high-calibre florists.

Starting off with a bronze for my first Chelsea FS isn’t too bad at all.

As a perfectionist, I may be tempted to rework the design when I arrived back home. Just so to get it right.

If only I could share is heavenly, scented, mimosa with you all!

I’ve been visiting my family in Jersey and my mum was lucky to come by these these branches of Mimosa. 😋

She rescued them from a mature tree that was just about to be chopped down.

We returned later and found that the whole tree (and the rest of its luscious branches) had been taken away and scrapped. 🙈

Such sacrilege! It’s such a shame that gorgeous flowing blooms were simply dumped, but hey ho, the landscape gardeners are on a mission to do their job within a tight time scale, and to be fair, they were doing a great job and cracking on.🚀

And this happens all the time. 🙈🙈🙈

Generally speaking, people don’t realise the value of their garden grown materials.

We florists constantly need foliage and we have to buy it in. Unfortunately, it usually costs as much as flowers!

So, anyway, my mum and I were very grateful that we were able to enjoy these gorgeous blooms. They certainly cheered us up enormously on a cold dull grey February day and it was lovely to use this antique Murano vase again to. 😁

Happy Valentines & Galentines Day to all of my lovely followers ♥️

This is the time of year when florists, like me, start mainlining chocolate and caffeine!!! And we are all reminded of love and romance.

Today can be difficult for some of us, but there’s no need to feel sad if you aren’t celebrating a special romantic connection or, like me, you know your husband will be buying V.D gifts for another woman!

It is, instead, another day to be grateful for our amazing friends and family and I’m posting this photo of my gorgeous daughter.

It’s my last one this year and I’ll have a fabulous selection of seasonal foliages for you to choose from, Prosecco and Christmas music to get into the Christmas party vibe.

I’m hoping to gather enough people together so that it’s viable to hire the church hall again this week.

Wreath making classes at Betteshanger

This year I’ll be will be running Christmas N**e Wreath workshops again in Betteshanger’s beautifully festive area.
Our festive group workshops are perfect for adults and children. You can book with friends or come on your own and make some new ones. Sessions are very relaxed and friendly.
All materials and tools will be supplied. After an initial step by step demonstration, you can choose from a wide variety of textured winter foliage, so no two wreaths are ever the same.
N**e Wreaths are made using a combination of mixed winter foliage featuring blue Spruce, Eucalyptus, Berried Eucalyptus, Firs, Pine Cones, Teasels, Berried Holly and Ivy.
All the gorgeous winter foliage materials are provided.
A lovely range of extra materials will be available too, such as, larch branches, twisted willow, and dried bracken, which you can select from to make your own wreath, in wild and natural style, on a traditional mossed ring.
All wreaths are made using a 30cm (12inch) moss frame but when complete measure at least 45-50cm. All wreaths will be made with natural botanical materials so after Christmas wreaths can be fully composted, and the frame can be recycled.
The workshop will last for around 2 hours.
*Children under 16 must have a parent/guardian present.
