Another early start, Littlehampton Armed Forces Day here we come!! This year we’re bringing our awesome Sherman Barv again, together with our replica Spitfire, Hurricane and twin Anderson Shelters. We’ll be based on East Green near Banjo Road adjacent to our friends from Tangmere Museum so come down and see us all!

The third event today is another long standing one - Stevenage Armed Forces Day. We’ve had some great fun over the years doing this one, we used to take the M10 Achilles every year and had the huge support of the Stevenage Fire Brigade letting us park the tank and lorry overnight with them, which was great to know it was safe! Today Simon and Nigel have the replica 1917 SE5a at Stevenage - we don’t have photos of their breakfast yet but they’ll probably say they don’t have time to eat! 🙄.

So today is a great day for our team.. We all started exceptionally early to support three different Armed Forces Day events today, Saturday 21 June. And we’re also having a ‘breakfast-off’! A tradition with our early starts and long days this time of year, the boys have to have a local Full English!

First up in the photos is Camberley Armed Forces Day on Park St. We had the enormous pleasure of doing this last year with our Great War Trench Experience and replica 1917 SE5a biplane.

This year Royce, Steve and Peter have taken our twin Anderson Shelters and one of our replica Spitfires. The band is great today and as usual it’s a great atmosphere!
Finally thank you very much to the team at the Atrium who allowed us to park our Anderson Shelters there last night..

So we’re all on our way home now on the DFDS ferry to Dover. Tired but happy it’s been a brilliant trip with great friends. We met some lovely people and cannot thank the town of Dunkerque enough for their welcome and hospitality. We highly recommend Cafe Borel run by Giles and his wonderful team, who welcomed us into our adopted British HQ! We stayed at Les Gens de Mer hotel, which although basic was perfect for us and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Finally thanks to DFDS for helping with last minute ferry changes, I think Paul may have regretted being the one that answered my call! More photos to follow.. .n21
