I want to thank all the bands and everyone who came down to our final show and saw Dear Monday Oscar Corney and SLATER on the 22 December.
Matchbox has been going for around 6 years and in that time I want to thank all the bands i‘ve had the pleasure of putting on and also huge thanks to The Portland Arms and The Blue Moon for being incredible venues to host live shows.
As 2022 draws to a close I look back over the years and I’m reminded of so many good times, I have met many many incredible talented artists and amazing people, I started this project back then to help open avenues that were very limited for my then band and it just snowballed into something bigger and I was able to help others in the same position.
But all good things must come to an end and I feel now is the right time for matchbox to go on an indefinite hiatus while I focus on life and new projects.
