At 27, he won The Magic Circle Close-up Magician Of The Year' One of the Worlds most prestigious competitions. He went on win again the following two years breaking all records and securing his name in Magic Circle history as the only person to have won both 2 years and 3 years consecutively.

Last month I took my annual trip to the FFFF magic convention, the 'by invitation only' magic gathering, held in Buffalo, NY.

Catching up with friends and seeing a huge dose of world class magic, there is nothing quite like it. I loved every second!

All the attendees have excelled in the magic arena, a room filled with 250 of the worlds best. A mixture of world champions, underground sleight of hand masters, and many who have fooled Penn & Teller, and have their own shows. And all continue to strive for excellence by attending.

It's a reminder that, like chess, even at the top there is still so much to learn.
