A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Venue Showcase event last Thursday! What a great start to March 🌤️✈️

We had a fantastic afternoon meeting new and existing clients, and we always love putting faces to the names of those we have many email conversations with😀.

A special note to Imperial War Museum Duxford for hosting this event. It was a great experience from such gracious hosts, and we must admit we really enjoyed having the opportunity to watch the sun set over the runway.

It was a pleasure to have so many of our venues in attendance, showcasing the unique and historic events spaces available across Cambridge.

Thank you also to Jen from 12 degrees Events & Team Building for sharing her top tips on hosting events in her fantastic talk.

Hosted at IWM Imperial War Museum Duxford, the Meet Cambridge Venue Showcase offers an exciting opportunity to meet with a variety of venue teams in one go, letting you explore the different types of event spaces on offer in Cambridge.

We'd love to see new and old clients there, and you're welcome to join us any time between 3pm and 7pm. You'll also have the opportunity to gain insight from Jen Townsend at 12 degrees Events & Team Building who will be sharing 12 top tips for hosting events at 4:30pm and 6pm.

It's great to be recognised by Meet England as a fantastic city full of unexpected stories and history 🏛️

Meet England's Destination Spotlight campaign aims to uncover unique venues and experiences across England, and though we might be biased, where is more exciting than beautiful and historic Cambridge?
You can speak at the world's oldest continuously running debating society, punt along the gorgeous River Cam, and dine in a traditional Cambridge College hall that is lit entirely by candlelight, all within the compact and walkable city centre.

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the city
Our venues are resting, all sitting so pretty
They’ve hosted events, dinners, parties, and delights
But now we must say, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Meet Cambridge clients, you've sleighed this year! Thank you for making 2025 the delightful year that it was.

Our office will close on Wednesday 24th December and reopen on Monday 5th January. In the meantime, our website is packed full of tips and advice to help you host your next event in Cambridge.

2025 Recap 💫

It's been a sensational year for Meet Cambridge. We've championed Cambridge both near and far, becoming international jet setters, undergoing team changes, and meeting incredible clients along the way. We even had time for a trip down to sunny Brighton!

We want to say a huge thank you to our clients and venues for the amazing support we've had this year. 2025 wouldn't have been the same without you! Here's a behind the scenes look at some of what we've been up to this year:

🍦 What better way to introduce Darcey, our maternity leave cover, to the team than a nature walk through our gorgeous city (and we might've had ice cream)
🍽️ Ryan, Sarah, and Sophie enjoyed a lovely lunch at The Fellows House, Curio Collection by Hilton with some wonderful Meet Cambridge clients
🎬 The marketing team love making Andrew go in front of the camera
✈️ Andrew and Ryan flew off to Germany to represent Meet Cambridge at IMEX Frankfurt
🌿 Meet Cambridge won a Silver Green Impact award for our sustainability efforts
🎥 Lights, Camera, Action.. with filming and video content taking more focus this year
🚆Anita and Sophie travelled to the Excel, London to attend the Meeting Show 2025
🛶Molly from Meet England travelled down to Cambridge to work on a very exciting project👀
🔬 We welcomed some incredible events to Cambridge, some of which we've been assisting with for a year or more, such as Biocentury's Grand Rounds event
☀️We all like to be beside the seaside, so we jumped at the chance to attend the Simpleview EMEA Summit down in Brighton for a great few days of learning and even seeing the amazing sunsets
🌳Sarah hosted the first two iterations of Meet Cambridge's new Sustainability Focus Group for teams at our member venues, creating a collaborative space to share sustainability progress
🎃 Spooky season fun at Hilton Cambridge City Centre
🌍 Sarah and Ryan travelled to Barcelona to attend IBTM 2025
🏛️ ... and loved exploring the sights in sunny Spain
🧸To wrap up our amazing year, we arranged a toy collection at our AGM for the amazing charity ACT, to help provide some extra joy for children in hospital over Christmas

Championing inclusive events is hugely important to us at Meet Cambridge, and we’re excited to celebrate the achievements and efforts of all five of the exemplary nominees.

It’s a privilege to be nominated twice in the Best Partnership category, for both our partnership with Opening Doors & Venues and also Neurodiversity in Events: A Cross-Sector Collaboration Creating Meaningful Change.

Best of luck to all of the nominees! Andrew is looking forward to a fantastic few days in Manchester!

Thank you to Newnham College for providing the perfect setting for this video. The Old Labs is a brilliant example of the innovation that has taken place in Cambridge.

Hosting focus groups and discussion sessions is a key part of Meet Cambridge and we are pleased to announce the success of our second Sustainability focus group that took place on Tuesday 🌿

Sustainability in events is an important topic to us, with all of the team making conscious efforts through our workplace initiatives, and it is something heavily driven by Sarah, our sustainability lead.

Our aim for hosting these events is to inspire collaboration between our venues and encourage new ideas to progress in pushing for a more sustainable future within the events industry.
