CANAPÉ EVENT 🍴

This week we had a fabulous time catering for a networking event with Taylor Rose MW and Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce

These mini marvels were freshly made by one of our wonderful chefs on the day and we had such fun creating a beautiful bespoke centrepiece for this event.

These little masterpieces were served at a wonderful corporate event last week.

We kicked off with a drinks reception and bespoke and beautiful savoury canapés served by our waiting staff. Then we finished off with a feast of mouthwatering sweet treats.

🎄CHRISTMAS MENUS🎄

This year’s festive menus have been created by our team of talented chefs at Tom’s Kitchens.

Our menus are full of wonderfully festive dishes all using the finest local and seasonal produce.

Here are just some of the delicious festive mains we have created:

🎄Turkey, bacon and sausage meat ballotine, fondant potato, bacon fat sprouts, honey glazed parsnips, braised carrots and gravy.

🎄Roasted pumpkin, sage and caramelised onion stuffing wellington, roast potatoes, sprouts, maple glazed carrots and thyme gravy

🎄Slow cooked beef featherblade, parsnips, braised red cabbage, potato terrine and bone marrow sauce (GF)

Earlier this month we had the honour of catering for a wonderful private event to celebrate both a Wedding Anniversary and special family birthdays.

Tom's Kitchen created a mouthwatering bespoke menu all served in the clients beautiful home.

Some of the menu highlights included:

Confit duck, hoisin, plum and pickled cucumber filo baskets

Pear and gorgonzola tartlet with candied walnut

Mushroom and parmesan arancini with basil pesto and herb salad

At Tom's Kitchen we are always looking to champion local produce and we are so excited to collaborate with Webbsour

Webbsour bakery uses the very best of local ingredients in their artisanal breads and their seasonal Foccacia is out of this world! Their passion, dedication and skill makes them such a joy to work with!

Webbsour's artisan breads are lovingly made in small batches by the hands of the skilled master baker Andrija.

Just thinking about it is making me hungry!

𝙑𝙀𝙉𝙐𝙀 𝙎𝙋𝙊𝙏𝙇𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏

We love catering for events at the The Thatch Barn, Yelling set in the picturesque Cambridgeshire countryside.

This beautifully restored Grade II listed barn is over 400 years old, the tall vaulted roof and the original beams are scattered with fairy lights making this a dreamy setting for a romantic wedding or any celebratory event and with a charming village church across the road it is the perfect setting!

The outside terrace with stunning views makes for perfect place to enjoy arrival canapés and drinks.

Set on a working farm, the Heritage award winning barn is situated beside crops of wheat, barley, lavender, wild flowers and daffodils, all providing a splendid backdrop for photographs, depending on the time of year you visit.

We look forward to catering for many more weddings and events here at The Thatch Barn Yelling in the coming months.🍴

We were catering the wedding of L&W on Saturday, and what a wedding it was! We were welcomed in as part of the family and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our staff are still talking about the bride getting them up to dance with her.
