This photo is from when I first became a manager at the tender age of 19.

You can tell it’s the 90s… it’s the eyebrows 😅

I was a catering manager for a pretty prestigious business school.
On paper? I was flying.

Promoted quickly.
Leadership role at 19.
“Doing really well for her age.”

If you’d met me back then, you’d have thought I was confident.

But I was not.

Terrified of being found out.
Convinced it would all be taken away from me.

Because yes - I could:
✔️ run an event for 600 people
✔️ make great coffee
✔️ serve 3 customers at once

Manage a team?
Absolutely not.

I remember sitting in a meeting with the dean, my boss, people far more experienced than me…

And I was supposed to be leading it.

And all I could think was:
“What if they realise I don’t know what I’m doing?”

So I did what so many women do when they feel like imposters…

I performed.

I became who I *thought* a leader should be:
– said yes to everything
– worked twice as hard
– controlled everything
– barked instructions (because… that’s what managers do, right?)

And that voice?
It didn’t magically disappear.

She still shows up sometimes.
Still whispers “you can’t do this!”

But she doesn’t get to run the show anymore.

Why? Because I learned how to stop leading from fear…and start leading from who I actually am.

And that’s the work I do now.

Helping women who look like they’ve “got it together”…
but inside are still second-guessing, overthinking, holding back.

Not by giving them scripts or surface-level confidence…
But by changing the way they see themselves as a leader.

And by leader - I don’t just mean people managers. I mean how you lead in your life.

When that shifts - the dreams you have come true MUCH more easily.
