Farewell Flowers for a lady who loved her garden....it was a challenge in the heat and humidity and after remaking twice, I had to discard a lot of flowers that wilted. Early on the morning of the funeral I whipped around my garden to cut more roses and a few other bits. I planted the roses (and most of the garden) with this situation in mind, when I need a few replacements or supplements I can step outside and snip! So please never think that floristry is just playing with flowers, it can be challenging and stressful, but worth it in the end!

Day 1 , so I bought a gorgeous bucket from the lovely Peta , I am in week 8 of my fractured kneecap journey. (4 weeks to go?) I haven't been able to do much work so I treated myself! I am 'playing with flowers'! It's really useful to have times to self critique, see details that need changing, take an excessive amount of photos which give an overview which we don't have in our minds eye.
So this is vase day, love these foxgloves, I've left them outside to see if some bumble bees will park in the flowers, with their fuzzy bums outwards.....Day 2 will be playing more but in a different way....

At this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, funeral flowers will be on display for the very first time in the 112 year history of the world-famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show, designed and created by The Farewell Flowers Directory.
I will be cheering them on here at the natural florist!

Love these tulips; silvery on the outside, lilac on the inside....along with the scents from stocks and bluebells, with bright pops from double daffs.
I have been quiet on here for a couple of weeks, I can only do a very few flowers due to enforced restricted movement.....my dog pulled me over on concrete when chasing a cat, my kneecap is fractured so I have to wear a rigid splint brace constantly (except sleeping!) for another 3 weeks until reviewed! I just hope it's healed! Going stir crazy!

Mother's Day is a great opportunity to show your mum how much they mean to you. Flowers are a traditional gift, the British tulips I am using give a modern edge along with the traditional daffs and narcissi. The Colours are gorgeous together; lilac, shades of pink and peach with creamy whites.
