✨ Real Bride Amy ✨

Amy and Paul tied the knot at the beautiful Scarborough Spa this May, and I couldn’t be happier to share a little of their story.

I first met Amy and Paul in 2023 at a wedding fair, and from that moment, we just clicked. Over the months that followed, we’d bump into each other at different fairs, have a good chat about their plans, and I got to see their excitement grow each time.

Amy came along to one of our Style Nights and later booked an appointment at the boutique. She didn’t find the one straight away, but fate clearly had other ideas!

A little while later, a dress arrived in the boutique that wasn’t the size the label claimed. I shared it on my stories, and Amy messaged me almost instantly, she couldn’t believe her luck. It was exactly the dress she’d been searching for. She came in to try it on (solo mission!) and it fit like a glove.

After that magical Yes to the Dress moment, Amy popped back a few more times; to choose accessories, to chat about finishing touches, and finally to bring her gown in for a pre-wedding steam.

Amy is the epitome of an eco-bride, thoughtful, intentional, and passionate about sustainability and knowing where her dress came from.

“The dress — from the moment I met Alison, I knew she was the one! 😂 I really wanted a sustainable dress and she has been AMAZING… we’ve borderline stalked her, seeing her at every wedding fair over the last three years, but I found my perfect dress ❤️

Yes you heard it right I’m bringing it back! Back in the day when I had more time for social media, I used to post a dress of the day every single day. I can’t promise that it will be every day, but I’m going to try and share more of my dresses so you can see the kind of thing that’s in the Boutique.

Remember that I only have one of each and I only have the size that I have, so if you see something that you love get in touch and book an appointment as I’m not guaranteed to have it for long!

She said yes!

When Stacey booked her appointment it said “WOM” or word of mouth. I love a recommendation and always wonder who it could be.

When the bride arrived with her friends it was lovely Hannah who had come to me in 2023. She had not found a dress with me but enjoyed her appointment and said to Stacey she should come for a visit.

It was so much fun helping Stacey find her style and to see her surprised that she chose what she did! There was 4 dresses on her short list but she knew when she’d found “the one”.

It was a classic “I didn’t think I’d choose something like this” but everyone could tell from the way she moved around that she clearly didn’t want to take it off!

Huge congratulations to Stacey on her engagement and on finding her dress and massive thanks to Hannah for bringing her friend to me.

It really does mean the world!

This is my dress!

I mean, they are all my dresses but I really bloody love this one! I accidentally “lost” 30 minutes trying a variety of belts, over tops, over skirts and eventually my own wedding shoes and my Bowen Dryden top on back to front.

I actually don’t think I can part with it so if you come in and this is your dress, return it cleaned and unaltered and I will give you half the cost of it back.

Maybe we could make it a thing and see how many brides have it as their wedding dress!

It is so versatile and can be dressed up in so many different ways, but can also be worn as it is.

Will you be the first bride to take me up on my offer?
