🚨 WE’RE HIRING! 🚨

Well… this is exciting! 🦁✨

With our shop getting closer than ever to opening and our mobile events side continuing to grow, we’re officially looking to expand the Little Lion Events team.

We’re looking for reliable, friendly individuals to support our weekend mobile events across South Wales.

The role includes:
🎈 Setting up and packing away event equipment
🚚 Transporting equipment to and from venues
😊 Engaging with clients and ensuring they have the best experience possible
🎉 Supporting at parties, community events and special occasions

What we’re looking for:
✅ Must have access to their own vehicle
✅ Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
✅ Must be reliable, professional and punctual
✅ Must be attentive to detail and take pride in their work
✅ Must be confident interacting with children and families
✅ Must hold a DBS certificate or be happy to obtain one
✅ Weekend availability is essential

✨ Full training will be provided, so previous experience isn’t essential. We’re looking for the right people with the right attitude who share our passion for delivering exceptional experiences for families.

At Little Lion Events, we work with families, schools, community groups and children, so safeguarding, professionalism and attention to detail are incredibly important to us. We believe our clients deserve the very best experience every time.

We originally advertised through Indeed but unfortunately experienced a couple of interview no-shows today 🥲, so we thought we’d reach out to our amazing local community instead. Some of the best people come through recommendations!

🚨 EXTREME HEAT SAFETY NOTICE 🚨

We’ve debated whether to post this, but after seeing discussions within a South Wales party rental supplier group, we feel we have a responsibility to speak up.

It has come to our attention that some local events and fun days may not be implementing appropriate safety measures during the current heatwave.

We have seen comments suggesting:
❌ “It’s the parents’ responsibility.” NO, it’s the organisers responsibility as well as who is manning the equipment
❌ “Just sponge the inflatables down.” MAJOR SLIP HAZARD

To say we are shocked is an understatement.

Inflatables sitting in direct sunlight can become extremely hot. This isn’t just about comfort — it’s a genuine safety and safeguarding concern. Children can suffer from:

⚠️ Burns from hot surfaces
⚠️ Heat exhaustion
⚠️ Dehydration
⚠️ Heatstroke
⚠️ Serious illness requiring medical attention

Spraying inflatables with water is not a solution. Surfaces can quickly heat back up, and children are still exposed to prolonged periods of activity in dangerous temperatures.

At Little Lion Events, safety will ALWAYS come before profit.

🏰 INFLATABLE SAFETY

As a business, we do not operate inflatables when temperatures exceed 25°C.

Whilst every supplier has their own policies and risk assessments, this is the limit we have chosen for the safety of our customers and protection of our equipment.

If temperatures are forecast to exceed this, we will contact customers to discuss alternative arrangements.

🎈 BALLOONS & EVENT STYLING

Many people don’t realise that balloons are also heavily affected by extreme heat.

In hot weather, balloons can:
• Expand rapidly
• Distort in shape
• Deflate prematurely
• Pop unexpectedly

Particularly when exposed to direct sunlight.

✨ PERSONALISED VINYL

Extreme temperatures can also affect vinyl personalisation, making some applications difficult and impacting how well materials adhere.

💛 OUR ADVICE

If you’re hosting a school event, community event, sports day, fun day or family gathering during temperatures approaching 30°C, please carefully review your plans and risk assessments.

Ensure there is:
✅ Adequate shade
✅ Access to drinking water
✅ Regular breaks from physical activity
✅ Appropriate first aid provision
✅ Consideration given to cancelling or postponing activities that may place children at risk

No booking, event, fundraiser or fun day is worth compromising a child’s safety.

Children’s welfare must always come first.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and please look after one another during this heatwave.

🥹☀️ A lovely afternoon supporting our Little Lion!

Leo took part in his first sponsored walk with nursery today at Parc Cwm Darran, helping to raise funds for new equipment and resources for the children. 💛

There was plenty of walking, climbing, exploring and lots of smiles along the way, followed by a well-earned ice cream 🍦✨

As a family-run business built around children and community, we love seeing local nurseries, schools and groups creating opportunities like this for little ones to learn, play and grow.
