Sometimes I feel I complicate a cake when decorating, but this time i tried keeping it simple just so Bluey stood out. Softer colours yet still popping.

We love a challenge but piping iced biscuits wasnt my forte unfortunately 😵 had the request of Mehndi biscuits as a gift. Exciting!!

Loved looking into the theme and seeing the vibrant colours and intricate patterns full of twists, curls, dot and line work.. beautiful.

Hopefully they went down a treat ❤️

..history finally got to repeat itself. I got to make a birthday cake for a loved one 🧁

My sons 1st Birthday 🥳

One of my most cherished memories from childhood was the birthday cakes my grandmother use to make with the assistance of my grandfathers wooden cake boards covered in foil (2 man job carrying these cakes).

Her attention to detail, the fun she had making them for both me and my cousin.. we had pink & white ragdoll, postman pats van, MrBlobby and the most colourfully adorned grandfather clock consisting of woolworths sweets including the white chocolate mice to 'run up and down it'... (im giving my age away here 😂).

The absolute pride she had making these brilliant cakes for us was all from love and adoration of us and its impossible to describe how much we worshipped Nain in general but these cakes made her super special.

My inspiration and a definite role model for myself!

I knew back then, id love to be able to make people overjoyed with a good cake, the same as she for us. So thats where my sons 1st cake came into it. It got the ball rolling all them years ago, and I persevered...

So i can only thank you all deeply for not only choosing my business, but each order keeps the memories rich, determination strong and upholds the same goals for me as my Nain achieved with us ❤️

Cake doesnt always need to be over the top. A simple victoria sponge to celebrate a 70th birthday. Thankyou to the lady's workplace for choosing a Crymz cake to celebrate 🍓
