If anyone deserves to be recognised โฅ๏ธ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ
Llongyfarchiadau mawr to Inspector Jason Diamond, who has been recognised in the New Year Honours with the Kingโs Police Medal for his outstanding service and long standing commitment to reducing road casualties, particularly those involving motorcyclists.
Raised in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Jason has served with North Wales Police for almost 30 years, dedicating his entire career to keeping communities across the region safe.
He began his policing journey in January 1997, working in the Caernarfon and Porthmadog area, before joining the Traffic Department in Dolgellau in March 2000. After promotion to Sergeant, he served with the response team in south Gwynedd and later in Custody.
In 2010, Jason joined the Royal Residence Protection Team during the time the Prince and Princess of Wales lived on Anglesey, before returning to roads policing in 2013.
Much of his career has been spent within Operational Support Services as part of the Roads Policing Unit, later the Roads Crime Unit, where he built extensive experience dealing with serious and fatal road traffic collisions.
He also played a leading role in Operation Darwen, later known as Operation Apex, working through education, engagement and partnership with riders to raise awareness, influence behaviour and make Welsh roads safer for vulnerable road users.
A well deserved honour for a lifetime of service, commitment and quiet leadership.
Huge congratulations Jason. Cymru yn falch ohonot. ๐
