Practicing What I Preach – A Little Flower Experiment at Home
At the shop, I’m always giving customers tips on how to make their flowers last as long as possible—clean water, trimmed stems, and a cool spot away from direct sunlight. But I thought, why not take my own advice and really put it to the test?
So, I brought home some of our signature blooms and followed every single step I recommend to our customers:
• Freshly cut the stems at an angle
• Removed all leaves below the water line
• Used the flower food provided
• Changed the water every couple of days
• Kept them out of direct heat and sunlight
Now I’m tracking how long the blooms last and how they hold up. It’s going to be a fun little experiment—and a great reminder that the small things we do really do make a big difference. Also, it’s a great opportunity for us to see what happens to our blooms once they arrive in their new homes.
Stay tuned—I’ll be sharing updates on how long these beauties last! And if you’ve got a bouquet at home, I’d love to know: are you following the care tips? Let’s compare notes!
