Some weddings feel special from the moment you arrive.
Sally & Alex’s wedding at Eden Hall Estate was one of those days.

A stunning setting in the heart of Cumbria, a marquee filled with the people they love most, incredible attention to every detail, and a celebration that felt effortlessly elegant from beginning to end.

From the emotional moments shared with family and friends, to a dance floor that never seemed to empty, every part of the day reflected who they are as a couple. Thoughtfully planned, beautifully styled and full of genuine joy.

Back at Dunston Hall for Laura & Stan 🤍

An incredibly special day from start to finish. The kind that feels full in all the right ways… thoughtful, joyful, and genuinely lovely to be part of.

Laura & Stan were a dream to photograph. Completely themselves, completely at ease, and so clearly adored by everyone around them. Their family & friends made the whole day what it was — warm, welcoming, and such a good atmosphere throughout.

Days like this are exactly why I love what I do.

You know when you’re around a couple and you can just feel it? 🤍 That easy, settled, completely-at-home kind of energy? Well, that was Anna & Tom.

They weren’t trying to create moments. They were just in them. Laughing. Catching each other’s eye. Standing that little bit closer. Totally relaxed and completely themselves.

If there’s one thing to take from their day, it’s this. Lean into each other. Stay present. Let everything else fade into the background.

When you genuinely love being in each other’s company, everything flows. And that is always a joy to photograph 🤍

Some moments don’t need direction. They just need space to happen 🤍

Father daughter reveals are always some of the most emotionally charged moments of a wedding morning. The sharp intake of breath. Hands over mouths. Tears that arrive before words do. Proud smiles mixed with the realisation that this little girl is about to walk into her next chapter.

These moments are never about perfection. They are about connection. A lifetime of memories meeting one single moment in time. I always step back, let the room breathe, and quietly document it exactly as it unfolds. No interruption. No posing. Just honest emotion, exactly as it is.

These are the photographs that mean more with time. The ones that parents hold onto. The ones that daughters look back on years later and feel everything all over again.

This is why the morning matters just as much as the rest of the day 🤍

There was such an easy warmth to this day. The kind that doesn’t need prompting. From the quiet squeeze of hands during the ceremony, to the laughter spilling out as they walked back down the aisle, everything about Becky & Charles felt natural and completely them.

These images are full of connection. Shared glances. Big genuine smiles. That moment at the top of the stairs where nothing else mattered except being together. They were present with each other and with everyone they love, and it shows in every frame.

Dunston Hall is one of my favourite venues to photograph. The light, the character, the way it holds a ceremony so beautifully. I’m already so excited to be back here in 2026 doing exactly this all over again with new couples and new stories.

Becky & Charles, thank you for trusting me to document such a meaningful chapter of your lives. Your joy was contagious and your wedding day was a real pleasure to photograph 🤍

Chasing down smiles is truly second nature now.

After 13 years of photographing weddings, I’m sure I’ve developed a sixth sense for laughter. I’ll spot it from across the room, through a crowd, even mid-speech when someone lets out the kind of grin you can’t fake.

It’s my mission every single wedding to get beautiful, natural portraits of as many guests as I can. Not the stiff, posed kind – the real ones. The belly laughs, the shared glances, the soft smiles when no one thinks they’re being watched.

Because those are the moments that mean the most later. The ones that take you back in an instant.
