We welcomed 36 children across our free funded summer sessions, and it was another lovely morning. 💛

One of our Big Bananas was a little disappointed that he didn't get a banana last week, we made sure every child went home with a banana today! 🍌😂

Big Bananas was fully booked again, with families on the waiting list. If you've booked onto a session but can't make it, please let me know as soon as possible so I can offer your place to another family.

Baby Bananas still has lots of spaces available, so if you know anyone with a baby who might enjoy coming along, please do share the details with them.

Over the next few days I'll be sending a short questionnaire by email. I'd really appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to fill it in. The feedback will help show just how much these sessions have benefited local families and will hopefully help us secure funding to do something like this again in the future.

Also, if you've taken any photos during the sessions and would be happy for Hannah Banana Parties and Little Cherubs to use them on social media or in funding reports, I'd absolutely love it if you could send them over. They really help show the impact these sessions have had.

After a weekend at YNOT Festival, I'm finally home with signal again!

Yesterday reminded me why awareness still matters. 💛

I wear a sunflower lanyard because I have hidden disabilities and stress-induced tics.

Before the festival, I spoke to the welfare team about my tics. They couldn't offer any practical support as it was too late to apply for accessibility (my fault). They suggested I make a simple sign explaining that I'm not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, my body just reacts differently under stress. I leaned into it, it felt strange to have to do, but it helped and we laughed about it.

Unfortunately, yesterday I was mocked because of my tics and my sunflower lanyard. As the comments continued, my tics became worse. The more anxious and embarrassed I felt, the less control I had over my body.

It was humiliating. And I hate how it looks to people around me.

I'm sharing this because hidden disabilities aren't always visible, and not every movement or behaviour is a choice. A little understanding, patience or kindness can make an enormous difference to someone's day.

This is one of the reasons inclusion is so important to me, both personally and through Hannah Banana. Every child, parent and family deserves to feel safe, accepted and welcome exactly as they are.

FREE Summer Holiday Baby & Toddler Sessions are here! 🍌

I'm so excited to finally share these with you!

Thanks to funding from we'll be running FREE Baby Bananas and Big Bananas sessions at throughout the summer holidays, giving babies, toddlers and their families the chance to enjoy music, movement, play and time together.

📍 Fit Factory, Chapel-en-le-Frith
👶 Baby Bananas 🕥 10:15-11:00
🍌 Big Bananas 🕚 11:15-12:00

Siblings are welcome at both sessions. Each class is planned around a particular age group, but we'd love families to come along together over the summer.

✨ Bookings open tomorrow at 10am.

To make things as fair as possible, bookings will be released one week at a time, with spaces for 15 families per session- Wednesdays at 8pm.

As these sessions are grant funded, we'll also be collecting attendance information and inviting families to complete a short feedback questionnaire to help demonstrate the impact of the project.

If you book a place and can no longer attend, please let me know as soon as possible so another family can enjoy it.

One last Wednesday together before we take a little summer break. 🥹🍌

Tomorrow is our final Buxton session at before we pause until September, and we'd love to see as many of our Banana families as possible!

Whether you've been with us all term or fancy joining us for one last sing, dance, bubble chase and sensory adventure, we'd love to welcome you. 💛

Tomorrow is our final Tuesday of the term at Chapel, and we've got lots of lovely things planned! 🥳

We'll be celebrating our amazing Big Bananas who are getting ready for their next adventure at school💛

We're also excited to welcome Little Cherubs for a coffee morning- Come and find out about the fantastic work they do, bring along any good-quality items you'd like to donate, or see if there's anything your family could make use of. Together we can reduce waste, share resources, and support one another. ♻️

And of course... there'll be
treats after class too! 🍪☕

We can't wait to celebrate a brilliant term with you all.
