💚 Sports England Update! 💚

We’re so proud to share some of the fantastic opportunities being created for local children and young people through Little Cherubs Community and our Sports England funding.

🍌 Hannah Banana Parties has delivered her sessions with an incredible 205 children taking part in total, an absolutely huge success! 🙌

⚽💃 Peak Power Sports have also supported 30 children to access regular football and dance sessions, giving them the opportunity to get active, build confidence and try something new.

🥊Sam at SF Boxing & Fitness has launched his new memberships, and the uptake has been fantastic! 🙌

♾️ We’re also excited to support Peak Power Sports Camps in launching a new SEND & Inclusive Multi-Sports session. These weekly sessions have been created by Jack and the team to provide a more supportive environment for children and young people who can find traditional sporting environments overwhelming, helping remove barriers and make sport more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

This is exactly what Little Cherubs and Sports England funding is about, creating opportunities, breaking down barriers and helping more children and young people get active, included and involved. 💚

A huge well done to everyone involved and, most importantly, to all the children and young people taking part! 👏

🚨 AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM HANNAH BANANA 🚨

Over the years, I’ve heard some absolutely outrageous rumours about myself.

Apparently…

🎅 I don’t actually know Santa.
🧝‍♀️ I’m not a real elf.
🤔 I just turn up at Christmas pretending to be one.

Well, I feel it’s finally time to address this.

Firstly, yes, technically I am Hannah. I live in Buxton. I have children. I have bills. I cannot realistically be expected to live at the North Pole full-time.

BUT…

🎄 I am absolutely delighted to announce that I have once again been officially selected to work for Santa! 🎄

What children’s entertainer wouldn’t jump at the chance to work for Father Christmas?!

I’ve even been given an official position within Santa’s High Peak operations. 🧝‍♀️

So there we have it.

I’m not saying I’m a full-time elf, it's a seasonal contract from the big guy himself!

Also, apologies for posting about Christmas this early, but I’ve already made a few appearances, preparations are officially underway, and I felt it was probably best to address the rumours before they escalated into something completely ridiculous.

So, if you’ve got a bag of clothes the kids have outgrown, toys they’ve moved on from or bits you’ve been meaning to pass on… bring them along! ♻️

I recently had to introduce myself in a very business-y collaboration group chat… It was probably one of the most accurate descriptions of my chaotic life I’ve ever written. 😂

So I thought I’d share it here too.

Behind Hannah Banana, there are approximately 47 other projects, ideas and slightly questionable levels of ambition…

But actually, they’re all connected by the same thing:

families, education, community, creativity and making things better.

And just like that… we’re back! 🍌💛

Our first week back has been SO lovely, and it’s been brilliant seeing familiar faces again, as well as some new ones joining us.

If you’ve been looking for a baby or toddler group that’s fun, friendly and genuinely for real families, come and join us next week.

No cliques. No judgement. No pressure to have the perfect toddler or the perfect parent 😂

Just songs, dancing, play, sensory fun, coffee, chaos and a lovely bunch of little people (and their grown-ups!) having a good time together.
