Questions to ask your venue when planning a conscious wedding… 💜

It can feel daunting at first to actually ask suppliers about sustainability because it can be met with disinterest or dismissal. However, a supplier who truly cares will delight in being asked these questions.

Starting with your venue, this is the biggest part of your wedding that can make or break a conscious celebration. These 3 questions are a simple, but great start into determining whether a venue has begun their sustainability journey.

1. What % of your energy is renewable?
2. How do you handle food waste?
3. Do you have a sustainability policy?

Most venues will be able to answer these questions, and you will be able to get a feel for how the venue approaches waste and the environment.

Starting your conscious wedding journey doesn’t require a perfect plan. It starts with small, mindful shifts in how you browse and buy, followed by intentional supplier choices.
