There is always something new to see with baby animals and all our usual farmyard favourites. Explore the Victorian farmhouse & schoolroom, the wartime cottage and Anderson shelter. What will you discover about life in the past? During the school holidays there are themed events, trails and activities to take part in. We also have an amazing indoor play barn packed full of farm-themed equipment, w

ith different zones for toddlers to eight-year-olds. Outside is another play area with play tractors and a combine harvester. Grab hot drinks and snacks in the play barn, then relax and catch up with friends whilst the little ones let off steam — whatever the weather. The Café, just outside the entrance to the farm, offers a selection of food and drink from teas and ice creams to hot food. Last entry to the farm is 45 minutes before the published closing time.

The sheep are getting ready for their annual haircut! On June 6th and 7th for BIG SHEEP WEEKEND we'll have shearing taking place on both days 🐑✂️ You'll be able to watch our sheep being shorn, hear from our expert shearers and have a feel of the fleece straight from the sheep! Remember those cute kestrels chicks that had their ID rings fitted less than 2 weeks ago? Well, yesterday afternoon the last one fledged the nest and a couple of the team were lucky enough to have witnessed its first flight.

All the fledglings will stay in the immediate area for the short term and Mum and Dad will be doing their best to bring them food whilst they learn how to hunt. If you listen hard you can hear them around the farm calling out to each other. Let us know if you are lucky enough to get a sighting.

Teeny Tiny Farmers is a farm-based activity designed especially for interested learners from around walking age to around six years. During these weekly, term-time sessions, children have the opportunity to learn through experiencing practical activities around the farm such as feeding the animals, collecting hay and poo picking. Children are provided with all the teeny tiny equipment they need to complete these fun tasks.
