"We’ll sit down and design an album ourselves."

It’s what so many people say when they first get their digital gallery. But then months turn into years, files get buried under screenshots and updates, and life takes over.

Sifting through hundreds of images and fighting with online template software quickly turns into an overwhelming chore.

Worse still, digital files are fragile. Hard drives fail and cloud accounts change. I've lost count of the amount of passwords I've forgotten...

One for my families PRE 2021...

I’m reaching out with an urgent heads-up: I’m deleting my Vimeo account!

If you've been relying on your old online viewing link from Vimeo to watch your wedding or family video, it's time to switch to the digital file or DVD I gave you back in the day.

I’ve downloaded all 400+ videos to safely store for now. But if you can't find your DVD or digital file and want to check I still have a copy, reply to this email ASAP.

Want to upgrade from DVD to digital?

If you only have a DVD and want a proper HD digital file to keep forever, I’m offering this for a small admin fee of £50 (usually £95)

DVDs degrade, and let’s be honest, disc drives are becoming a thing of the past. After our PS4 broke the other week, we have no way of watching our DVD's now!!

Upgrading to a digital file means better quality (it was shot in HD!), it's way easier to share with friends and family, and you can watch it right there on your phone whenever you want without relying on an internet connection or data.

Last day of the Summer holidays for us and I feel this photo sums up being a parent of these two...😅

Simple phone capture but it took me about 7 frames to get one where I felt it worked together! Kids are funny beings but they're also creatures of habit so you even get frustrated thinking you've missed a great shot, be patient! It's likely they'll repeat what they did without prompting!

My top tip is to leave your camera (or phone) out and ready so it's easy to reach for should you feel inspired!

Photos are wonderful for freezing a second in time... but video does something completely different.

Video brings it all flooding back:

From the sound of their tiny toddler laugh to the way they mispronounce their favorite words, these are all memories and sounds worth preserving.

From someone who really hated hearing herself back on video, I've still pushed past my own discomfort to ensure I can capture those memories for my children to look back on too.

That’s why my family sessions are 'hybrid', because as much as you'll love having photos on your walls, the short family film is what will bring tears to your eyes 10 years from now (trust me, as the Mother of an 11 year old I know!)

Step 1: Choose a session fee (from a 1-hour taster to a full 'Day in the Life').
Step 2: We hang out, keep it casual, and capture real life. NO posing required.
Step 3: You view your finished photo gallery and family video, and then decide what you'd love to keep!

No forced packages before you’ve seen a single image. Just honest, beautiful memories you get to choose in your own time.

It’s a cliché because it’s true: the days are long, but the years are so, so short. (I know as my youngest starts school in September and my eldest is heading to High School!!!🥹)

Before you know it, the school holidays are over, the coats get bigger, and the toddler chubby cheeks turn into grown-up child features. It can feel like it's all happening so fast but I know the perfect way to help you hit pause and slow things right down. A family video and photo session ;)

"Should we do our session at home or outdoors?"

Here’s how to choose:

At Home is best if:
• You have a newborn or toddlers who feel safest in their own environment.

• You want to remember your nursery, your living room cuddle spots, and everyday home life. Your house tells part of your family story too!

• You want a calm, weatherproof, super-relaxed vibe.

Outdoors (like the local park or woods) is best if:
• Your kids love to run, jump in puddles, climb trees, and explore.

• You love natural light, autumn leaves, or golden evening sun.

The best part? We can even mix both! Whether that be enjoying your own garden like Sara, Rav and Max here or taking a walk to your local park if you book a longer session!
