I am going to close this weekend as I’m going to have a weekend with my favourite friend in Norfolk 🙌🏼 next weekend we will be open with loads more dried flowers AND dahlia, cosmos, zinnia etc, all the things that I thought the drought killed off have sprung into a little bit of life. Ok, I think it’s finally time to admit defeat on this year’s fresh flowers. This will be the final weekend of fresh blooms before I move, prematurely, on to my dried flower stock. 5 heatwaves, absolutely no rain for months, a very quick end to all the early summer crops, a huge area of diseased dahlia and the possibility of another wave of heat coming our way have left me exhausted 😩 I’ll definitely be closed in October and November, unless it’s for a pre booked workshop, and I’ll get all my Christmas wreath workshops on the website asap.
As I continue to sow seeds for next year, I do so with hope and optimism for next year to be better. At least I’ll be better prepared 🙌🏼
