What an absolute joy it was to stand beside you both and be part of such a wonderfully romantic, love-filled celebration and I cannot wait to share some images in the near future ♥️

Your ceremony was everything a celebrant could wish for, full of love, laughter, happy tears and so many beautiful personal touches. From two incredibly special readings that added such meaning to your ceremony, to your beautiful and symbolic hand-tying ritual, every moment felt completely you.

And honestly, what a gorgeous pair you are! Watching the two of you together, surrounded by the people who mean the most to you, was simply magical. There is something so special about seeing two people who are not only deeply in love, but who genuinely adore one another, and that was written all over your faces. ❤️

Avril & Alec, you have been an absolute joy to work with from beginning to end. I feel incredibly lucky that you chose me to tell your story, to help shape your ceremony and, most importantly, to stand beside you as you made those beautiful promises to one another.

Being your celebrant has been such a privilege, and I will always feel very honoured to have played a small part in the beginning of this next chapter of your love story.

Some couples have a way of lighting up a room the moment they walk into it, and Kearon & Candice are most definitely that couple! ❤️

Both quite simply the life and soul of the party, their wedding day was always going to be something incredibly special. And when they stood together, surrounded by their wonderful family and friends. Some of whom had travelled all the way from their home country of South Africa 🇿🇦

They chose the beautiful Tip Tip Venue as the location for the very special day and they definitely made the right choice.

With the stunning countryside and a beautiful lake as a backdrop to the ceremony, there were so many beautiful and personal moments woven throughout Such as the bride walked towards walked towards Kearon, her mum sang and played her own composition.

To play even a small part in such a significant and special day was a true honour. I loved getting to know Kearon and Candice, hearing their story and then watching that story come to life in front of the people they love most.

Their ceremony was filled with love, laughter, emotion and plenty of personality, and it was followed by a celebration that was every bit as fabulous as they are! 🥂✨

Top Tips for the Perfect Outdoor Wedding Ceremony ☀️

There is something truly magical about saying “I do” surrounded by nature. But with a little thoughtful planning, your outdoor ceremony can be as comfortable as it is beautiful.

Here are my top tips for keeping everyone smiling…

💧 Create a Hydration Station
Welcome your guests with chilled water, infused water or refreshing lemonade before the ceremony begins. It’s a simple touch that they’ll really appreciate on a warm day.

🌬️ Provide Hand Fans
Not only are they practical, but personalised fans also make a lovely keepsake and look beautiful in photographs while helping guests stay cool.

☀️ Think About the Sun
Position your ceremony so neither you nor your guests are sitting directly in the sun. If possible, choose a naturally shaded area or time your ceremony for later in the afternoon when the light is softer (your photographer will thank you too!).

🕶️ Offer a Little Shade
Parasols, umbrellas or a few elegant gazebos can make a huge difference, especially for elderly guests, children and anyone who may struggle in the heat.

🦟 Prepare for Nature
A basket of insect repellent, tissues and sunscreen is a thoughtful addition that guests will love if the weather is particularly warm.

⏰ Keep the Ceremony Comfortable
A beautifully crafted ceremony doesn’t need to be overly long. Around 25–35 minutes is the perfect length to keep everyone engaged while ensuring guests remain comfortable outdoors.

When Emily and Dan met in Dubai, neither of them could have imagined they were about to begin the most beautiful love story. One filled with endless laughter, unwavering love… and just a little bit of netball. 🏐💕

After a beautiful proposal, they planned the perfect wedding day and on a beautiful Saturday in July, surrounded by their favourite people at the stunning Barton Hall Hotel & Spa, they celebrated in style.

With the sun shining brightly, they exchanged their vows during a ceremony that was completely centred around their journey together, the moments that brought them here and the incredible future that lies ahead.

It was such a privilege to tell their story and to stand beside them as they became Mr & Mrs W.

Seeing the smiles, the happy tears and the love of family and friends and knowing Emily & Dan had the best day was a reminder of exactly why I adore what I do.
