Welcome back cosy cafe

So here is the news I promised!
There is good news and bad. As you all know we haven't been running for a few weeks as we have been looking for new premises.
The bad news is, we used to run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but as we are a non profit organisation, we can't afford to hire any where for two days so we are having to go to Tuesdays only.
The good news is we have somewhere to go to from October.
In the meantime, our only option is to run the cafe from school using the staff room, so it really will be a very Cosy Cafe.
After all the hard work the pupils have put into the cafe, we didn't want them to have to wait until October. So from next Tuesday (10th June) 10.00 till 12.30 (with last orders being taken at 12.00) we will be back. We can't wait to see all our amazing customers.

To all the amazing volunteers at Catshill Community Events:
You turn chaos into fun, plans into parties, and coffee into miracles. ☕✨
We genuinely couldn’t do it without you… mostly because we’d probably lose the gazebo instructions and set fire to the BBQ. 🔥🙃

Thanks for all the time, energy, and sanity you sacrifice to help us run epic events all year round. You’re the real MVPs – we just take the credit and pose for the photos. 📸😉

It’s happening again — Car Boot #2 is coming in hot!
MONDAY 27TH MAY | 7AM – 1PM
And yes, the weather forecast says: glorious rummaging conditions.

CAR BOOT SEASON IS IN FULL SWING!

Our pals at Catshill Village Meadow are back with the second instalment of bargain-hunting brilliance. If you missed the first one — don’t worry, redemption is here!

Location:
Meadow Road, Catshill
B61 0JJ

Bring your bits, bobs, grandma’s novelty mug collection, or that mysterious box from the loft you’ve been meaning to sort since 2019. Or just show up for a nosey and accidentally go home with a sombrero and a slow cooker.

Buyers, sellers, serial moochers — all welcome.

Caution: May cause spontaneous bartering, unexpected joy, and the firm belief that you definitely needed another lava lamp.

See you on the field!

BREAKING NEWS
After the roaring, dancing, funnel cake-fueled success of the Catshill Big Weekender…
Guess who's back? Back again?
Catshill Carnival — tell a friend!

JULY 2026 — mark your calendars and cancel your beach holidays because this is where the real party's at!

We’re talking:

Floats (the kind that move, not the kind with ice cream… although we wouldn’t say no to those too)

A fun fair (yes, with rides that make you question your lunch choices)

Stalls galore

Live music (louder, better, and with 67% more cowbell)

Food vendors (your diet starts August)

And much, much more!

To make this carnival as epic as your nan’s conga line, we need sponsors and volunteers.
So if you’ve got skills, a business, or just love hi-vis and clipboard power—get in touch!

Let’s kick off Summer 2026 with a bang, a bop, and a tray of churros!

Coming This September… HAY There!
Get ready for the hay-iest event of the year at our Community Orchard!

HAY FEST & SCARECROW TRAIL

Join us (dates coming soon!) for an afternoon of fun, light refreshments, and wholesome entertainment as we celebrate the glorious harvest of HAY with our friends from Catshill In Bloom and Catshill Wildlife

But wait, there’s more...

We’re launching our first ever Village Scarecrow Trail – and the theme is Disney Pixar!
Think: Woody made of wellies, a scarecrow Buzz Lightyear, or even a straw-filled Sulley!

How to join the fun:

1. Create a scarecrow masterpiece.

2. Make it Disney Pixar themed (or at least vaguely resemble a cartoon character).

3. Email your address to: [email protected]

4. Sit back as your scarecrow becomes a village star.

A virtual map will guide your wanderings – take a stroll, snap pics, and vote for your favourite! The winner gets a prize AND eternal village fame.

Stay tuned for dates & details – it's going to be un-BALE-ievable!

What. A. Weekend. Catshill – you’ve absolutely smashed it!

Our volunteers have officially worked their socks off (some are still searching local hedges for them) to bring you the Catshill Big Weekender, and what a weekend it’s been!

From dancing in the sun to belting out tunes at the Variety Bunker Cockney Singalong (yes, that happened, and yes, we loved it), we’ve had a blast.

Massive shout-out to:

All our brilliant Acts

The wizard behind the sound desk – our legendary Tech Guy

The amazing pupils from Catshill Middle School

Paul Masters (who is everywhere, all at once)

The amazing Minsec Security keeping us safe

Our lovely vendors and stall holders

And of course, our SUPER VOLUNTEERS who didn’t just raise the bar – they juggled it, set it on fire, and launched it into space!

A big thank you also to Bradley Thomas MP Bradley and our Two District Councillors for Catshill and our District councillor for North Marlbrook for popping by and showing their support – extra brownie points for you.

These events are made possible thanks to Catshill and North Marlbrook Parish Council, funded by our precept (your council tax pennies hard at work), which means we can keep things free or affordable. No profit-making here – just pure, wholesome community chaos!

We’re just a bunch of volunteers who love this village and want to give something back (preferably not our sanity, but hey, it happens).

So… the big question: Do you want this event to return next year?
Let us know – because we’ve already started writing the playlist…
All photos will be shared over the.next few days
