Autumn in its full unfiltered glory.
I'm not ready to say goodbye to all of the autumn prettiness.

No neggy vibes here but I have recently had an influx of businesses and people/ influencers asking for my work for free or special rate in return for them sharing content and it's sparked something in me.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love supporting other creatives and building relationships, but I also believe that small businesses deserve to be supported and respected in return.
Exposure can be wonderful but it doesn't always turn into bookings, sales or money coming back into the business.

Behind every bouquet, wedding installation or any floral design are hours of planning, sourcing, preparation, creativity and hard work. Not to mention the very real costs of flowers, materials, staffing and running a physical shop.(This year, flowers have been at the highest price I've seen in my 15 years of being a florist!)

For a small independent business, those costs don't disappear because someone offers to share our work with their followers.

It's not all just pretty flowers, there is a real person, working incredibly hard to keep this little independent business blooming. Im determined to keep this little business going in these tough times..... I'm forever grateful for the support from you wonderful people.....

Just stop asking for free stuff..... No one can afford to do it at the min 😆

Autumn, but make it colourful 🍂🌸

Who says autumn flowers have to be all burnt orange and brown?

We loved mixing those rich autumn colours with pops of pink, peach, plum and a little bit of everything in between.

Wild, romantic, a little bit playful and full of gorgeous seasonal texture.

September involved:

A much needed break away, time away with my little family, nature walks, end of summer weddings with a hint of autumn, a new seasonal display in the shop,

We are super excited for autumn.... The best season in our opinion 🍂🍁🍃🍄🕸️🌾🌰🍎

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

After a busy summer and almost 3 years of Happy Bloom (no I haven't had a break since opening😅) , I am taking a week off and taking my little boy on his first holiday 🌞

The shop will close today and re open on Thursday 1st October.
