Really pleased to be starting these; ‘Craftivism presents’ ….. I’m hoping to produce a series of workshops ~ Creative enquiry for our inner and outer world.’ Because - we recognise that activism comes in many forms, and creative enquiry is one of many tools for self-resilience. This first session will be led by; socially engaged artists and illustrator, Luci Gorell Barnes. ‘Mapping your activism’. In celebration of International Women’s Day (on March 8th) and we will be using informal mapmaking to explore and extend our community and activist landscapes. Headfirst link in bio.

Next Tuesday, 26th September, is our first talk of the autumn. We will welcome Lily, a floral artist, flower grower, forager and arranger, whose company LilyBloom is based in Bristol. She will tell us about 'Preserving herbs for decoration and function', including practical methods to maintain their colour, texture and scent, with ideas for using them creatively as well as for food and health.

The meeting is at Abbots Leigh Village Hall (BS8 3QP) at 7.30pm. We look forward to seeing you there: come along and bring a friend!

The event is free for members of the Herb Group, and £5 for visitors (pay on the door, no need to book in advance).

Bristol gardens always make me smile ….. as a northerner living here the last 10years 🤪ive always admired the uniqueness of what can be grown down here from olive tree to Banana tree, yesterday this one really caught me eye… Gladyohi !
