Going back old skool today… 😍

Remember Fresh Cream Fridays at Bakers Corner? Every Friday at around 5am we’d be elbow-deep in pastry making these beauties. They never stayed on the counter for long…

Confession time… 🤫 One of these was always my Friday breakfast. You can’t work that early surrounded by fresh cream and apple turnovers without “quality checking” one… it’s basically the law. 😂

Well… they’re BACK! 🍏🥐

You’ll find these gorgeous fresh cream apple turnovers at Tootys & Jeeves tomorrow morning… but if history tells us anything, don’t hang about because they have a habit of disappearing faster than my willpower. 👀

🎂 THROWBACK TIME… 🎂

This beauty was for my middle son’s 18th last year… and confession time… after years of making cakes for everyone else, I rarely make birthday cakes for my own boys! 🙈

Now, if you know the story of this cake… you’ll know it had more drama than a soap opera! 🤣

It was doomed from the start…
🖤 Black buttercream (cake makers… you feel my pain!)
🍻 Then my other half, after enjoying a few of his favourite “juices”, decided to carry it home… fell down the step… then continued down the garden… still clutching the cake! 🤦‍♀️😂
🙈 The following day we took it back to my son… and somehow it tipped upside down!

Honestly, this cake survived more than most of us do in a week! 😂

Thankfully I managed to grab this photo before all the drama unfolded, because despite its eventful journey, I still absolutely loved how it turned out. 🖤✨

A little look at what kept us busy over the weekend. 💚🌿

This woodland-themed baby shower cake was such a lovely one to put together, and I absolutely loved seeing it all come together with the little decorations. 🦌🦔🍄

A huge thank you to alien.dance.company for the lovely shoutout! 💜

I was delighted to provide some cheesecakes and cookies for the interval at their dance show… although they didn’t even make it that far! 😅 Everything sold out before the show even started!

I’ve been lucky enough to watch Alien Dance Company in action at a competition where my niece was performing, and the dedication, hard work and support they give every single dancer is incredible. It’s such a fantastic dance school, and I’m always happy to support such a brilliant local community.
