On at 1:30pm, Rob Winder (vocals) and Mick Mangan (guitar & vocals) are Strange But True!

Based in Bristol, they perform songs from the British and American traditions. Their compositions and interpretations are inspired by folk culture, nature, stories and personal experiences, and fuse influences from traditional and contemporary folk, blues, rock and Americana to create narratives with a unique and distinctive sound. Recent performances have included two sets at Melton Mowbray Winter Folk Festival, and headlining at Bath Acoustic Club, as well as numerous appearances at pubs in Bristol and Bath.

They first started working together in late 2023, soon after Mick moved to the South-west from Leicestershire. Prior to moving to Bristol, Rob had been heavily involved in the Bath folk scene, including running a song session for 13 years every Sunday in The Star Inn. Both have many years of experience, performing both solo and with bands such as Eagle Alley, Reynard Collective and Larkwolves. They are currently recording their first album.

Performing at 4pm will be the amazing Kittiwake Border Morris!

Founded in 2022, Kittiwake are a Border Morris side from Bristol who perform a high energy mixture of original and traditional dances - seamlessly blending the best of tradition with fresh innovation. They're an inclusive side, with a diverse range of members, bringing vibrancy and creativity to their dances. They dance with blue, white and black tatters and feather-style faces to represent their seabird moniker. Their youthful, swooping energy has plenty of stick clashing for performances that are both fun and fierce!
