The Jam is Bournemouth’s first jam night focused on creating space for female and LGBTQ+ musicians. We think there are far too many spaces in which these musicians are overlooked or aren’t made to feel welcome which is why we wanted to create an event where everyone can feel comfortable getting up on stage. We are so excited to bring The Jam to Poole Pride and to be working with Lighthouse for this event!

Whether you’ve been playing your chosen instrument for a month or ten years we’d love to see you get up and play with other local musicians at The Jam! If you’re not quite up to jamming in one of the five minute jams, take a gander at our set covers for the night. We’ve tried to make our covers list as diverse as possible so whether you’re a punk rocker or an indie lover there will be something you’re excited to come up and play 🌟

Just four days until take to the stage for their EP Launch Show at .bristol !!

Early bird tickets have now sold out so make sure to grab your tickets ahead of the show to avoid disappointment 🌟

The brainchild of Mimi Jones, whose songwriting has been likened to Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith and Mazzy Star, Dogsbody craft honest songs with grungy chord progressions; every note is purposeful and every lyric deliberate. Mimi’s jazz-imbued vocals and raw delivery bring the songs into their most intimate form 🌀

Introducing the main support for ’s EP Launch Show at .bristol… 🐝

Paying respect to age old traditions while pushing forward into new and inventive territories is a difficult balance to strike for even the most experienced artists - these two make it sound easy. Hearing their delicate two part harmonies blend with the banjo, guitar and harmonium sounds which define their work is going to be a real treat!

Through intuitive and playful work informed by my own practice, I hold sessions for anyone from beginners to experienced artists to reconnect with their creativity

Oscar Jones is Bristol-based folk songwriter known for his earnest and sophisticated songs. He and his band create a raw wall-of-sound with janky guitars and naive sing-alongs. FFO Tom Waits, Michael Hurley, Belle and Sebastian
