Throwback to My First Ever Client 😱✨

Running a biz from home while chasing a toddler around? Not for the faint-hearted, I tell ya! 🏡👩🏼‍💻👶 Life’s a bit of a wild ride, and sometimes you’ve just gotta pause and look back at how far you’ve come 💭💫

When I started, I had zero clients, BIG dreams, and a Wolf of Wall Street mindset 😂… but reality? Oof, it hit hard. No income after mat leave, fully relying on my husband, and allll the self-doubt creeping in.

Shoutout to Frank – my rock, my cheerleader (even if he doesn’t like or share my posts as much as I’d love him to! 😂) He’s the reason I kept going. He even got mad when I said I applied for a job at Costa out of panic ☕🙈

But within 3 months, I landed my very first client 🙌 It didn’t make all the doubts go away, but it was a HUGE win. (We’re still working together, and I’m forever grateful!)

Since then? I’ve kept showing up, posting, networking, making mistakes (so many mistakes 😂), and learning as I go. My stubbornness – or should I say persistence – finally started paying off. And let’s not forget my amazing friends who spread the word and believed in me 🫶

Maybe you’re in that place now – just starting out, full of doubt, or wondering if this journey is for you. Or maybe not – and that’s cool too! But here’s your reminder: we all start somewhere. Keep going, keep learning, take the feedback, and chase those dreams 🌟

I’m sharing a little pic today of my two biggest motivations – Frank and our little “Pistachio” 🥰💛 They’re my why, my world, and the reason I do what I do.

Ohhh, when I tell you I was influenced by Costco’s Caesar Salad and they ran out seconds before I could order one – that’s honestly the understatement of the year! 😩 I told Frank I was 100% making one for myself today because I could not stop thinking about it haha! I’m a foodie after all 😂

So here’s your sign to get “influenced” too – but in business! 💼✨
Start outsourcing, whether it’s your SMM, accountant or a Virtual Assistant. Let someone else take a bit of that weight off your plate 🙌🏻

Life really said: “You wanted flexibility? Here you go!” 😂

Had this blog post scheduled for today, all about being a millennial mum who wants it all – a fulfilling career, time with my little one, freedom, joy, the lot.

And today? That flexibility came to life in the messiest, most beautiful way 🙃

My toddler’s home from the childminder with a sniffly nose, so I’ve been working from the dining table, surrounded by toy chaos, snack crumbs and the sweet sound of Ms Rachel singing the ABCs in the background 🎶🍓

Is my house a tip? Yep.
Have I got stuff done and kept my little one happy? Also yes.
