J&M's wedding took us from the soaring beauty of St Mary Redcliffe Church to the rolling hills of Folly Farm 💚

It was our hottest day of the year at 34 degrees 🥵 Folly Farm’s sun-soaked meadows meant zero shade, so we brought in parasols to keep guests cool and moved dessert to the orchard to stop the groom from melting.

There were so many joyful details: whimsical wildflowers, Swedish fika, and cupcakes for every dietary need. The bride’s sister-in-law baked their wedding cake, and the harp was played by one of her bridesmaids.

J’s Nigerian heritage shone through in one of our favourite moments... as the newlyweds walked together, her auntie Mercy laid down fabric at their feet. This beautiful tradition ended with female guests receiving the fabric as gifts. We were even honoured with our own!

Weddings are full of magic... and the occasional curveball 🫣

Having someone calm and experienced to quietly steer the ship makes all the difference, even if the unexpected doesn’t happen.

That way, you can make everything someone else’s problem. You get to be fully present and soak in every moment of the day you’ve worked so hard (and waited so long) for.

Hint: we’re that someone 🕊️
