Calling all vegan sushi lovers! On Sun 16th May I will be doing a vegan sushi afternoon tea event, available for collection or delivery. The afternoon tea will contain a selection of vegan sushi, a tofu katsu sandwich, scone with jam, and cakes including peanut butter brownie, vanilla macaron, sticky toffee ginger layer cake, and matcha madeleine, plus a sachet of loose leaf peppermint & green tea. £25 pp. Limited spaces and a one time thing, order on the website! https://littlegemscakes.co.uk/products

Throwback to the summer when Liz from gifted me with these stunning British grown seasonal peonies from her allotment based right here in Bristol, just down the road from me! Absolutely stunning ❤ And they pair beautifully with some pastel watercolour buttercream.

It's been a process but I'm slowly making my business more plastic free. I'm by no means perfect but as stock items run out I see if I can buy a plastic free alternative. There are so many wonderful zero waste shops around Bristol now it makes this transition so much easier! I sometimes find things I wouldn't have imagined I could get at a zero waste shop, I saw glace cherries the other day, who would have thought??

Check out these utterly delicious vegan lemon meringue friands I've been working on. I love friands they are so cute but versatile, you can add any toppings you want! I made some homemade lemon curd and whipped up some aquafaba for the meringue (a lot of chickpea eating at home this week...). Plus any opportunity to show off my lovely vintage cutlery.
