That's a wrap on Monochrome Vol. 3!

Huge thanks to crews at The Cube and Exchange for all the hard work; to all the artists who came down and got weird; and to all of you that bought tickets or helped spread the good word.

And yes - Monochrome will be back for 2027.

To take you on a little journey up the wizard's sleave - Monochrome has never quite broken even. After 3 years, I'd hoped it would be paying for itself, but it remains a pretty expensive hobby. These are uncertain times, and it's starting to feel like a slightly reckless endeavour.

The bottom line is, Monochrome has to cover it's costs next year if it's going to continue. This isn't an unattainable goal; 20% more people through the door and we're golden.

So 2027 is "break even or go broke trying". I'll be throwing everything at it, so if it ends up being the last Monochrome, at least we'll go out with a bang!

And for the keenos, I've stuck some insanely early bird tickets on sale at Headfirst for anyone that wants to nab a bargin.

Rich x

Lineup change!

We are welcoming a last minute addition to the lineup, in the form of Girl A; a new Power Electronics project from the brains behind the excellent Sevenyearwaitinglist.

Unfortunately Soft Issues have reluctantly had to drop off the bill due to sickness (get well soon!)

Girl A will be on at 23:20, and Sophrosyne will be on immediately afterwards at 23:35.

Doors at 16.30! See ya there!

(and if you want a shirt get in early - stock is already low after last night)

Go in blind, come out deaf!Cheers to both and Headfirst for making us pick of the week!

New drip for '26 (plus a few left from last year).

Once again, all shirts are sourced from charity shops and hand printed. Zero waste and no 2 alike.

A snip at £12 each!

Timings for Friday (yes; this Friday!)

As an added bonus we're kicking things off with a set from Scabie - guitar abuse from the self-proclaimed "least talented member of Byford Dolphin Incident". The project is too-new for audio so you’ll have to trust us.

Still a few tickets for Friday but they are shifting so a decent chance they'll sell out. You have been warned!

Here's your Saturday night!

For anyone who was worrying about the late finish, you'll be pleased to see that the headliners are all done and dusted by 10pm; then for the willing, we're getting weird in the basement until 2am.Who's excited? I'm excited.

PSA: There's only a handful of Friday/Weekend tickets left so if you want to join us at The Cube for the warm up (with the final ever performance from Aderlating, and film premiers from Fleshlicker and Dean Lloyd Robinson) then get on that ASAP.

18/02/2026

Best known as the man behind noise outfit Knifedoutofexistence and the Outside Art record label, Dean will be presenting his new film "Piles Of Ash Are Left In Different Places” accompanied by a live vocals. An exploration of grief; it is based on Dean's zine of the same name.

16/02/2026

Drawing influence from noise and hardcore punk, they fuse power electronics, techno, speedcore, and rhythmic noise into a minimal yet corrosive sound. Their releases on Opal Tapes and Natural Sciences showcase this stripped-down, damaged approach at full intensity.

13/02/2026

It seems the jug has run empty for P**s Drinker, and they will no longer be performing at Monochrome.

Stepping into the fray are the bad boys of Bristol noise, for what will be their penultimate set. Welcome KNIFEYxSPOONY for 11 minutes of absurdist noisecore shenanigans.
