Super proud of our friend and 2024 festival artists .samo - in the last year he’s not only completed the for he’s now back in for a major exhibition at The Bristol Museum alongside Grayson Perry, David Hockney and Catherine Opie exploring the complexities of gender identity.

A roaring legacy lands at Cabot Circus as a giant 60-square-meter artwork brings the Bristol landmark to life in Dinosaur form.

Acclaimed illustrator and dino-man Andy Council has celebrated 20 years of his iconic Bristol Dinosaur with the unveiling of his latest masterpiece at Cabot Circus.

Spanning an impressive 60 square meters, the installation blends Bristol’s ever evolving cityscape with prehistoric imagination, making this a must-see piece for art lovers, locals and visitors.

The Bristol Dinosaur first roamed the city in 2025, commissioned by Decode Magazine for the ‘Western Union’ CD compilation. It made waves for its unique fusion of West Country landmarks into a Godzilla-like form. A decade later, Andy released an updated version and now, for its 20th anniversary, the Dinosaur has once again evolved to reflect a modern Bristol. Visitors can see the giant installation for free at Cabot Circus on the 1st floor.

Serving as a visual archive of Bristol’s landmarks and capturing the soul of a city that thrives on creativity, culture and community - fans of the dino artworks can grab signed prints of the 20th anniversary Bristol Dinosaur at the Upfest Gallery, starting at £65.
