*** CW: LONG AND GUSHING POST! ***
After a whirlwind 10 days, a project that took 6 months of planning and preparation - bringing together an awesome team of artists, set-builders, sound engineers, lighting techs, and photographers - to build, run, and then dismantle a live music venue in a field in Northamptonshire is over in a flash!
Over 4 nights, Shambala Festival 2022 's newest and only dedicated punk/DIY live music venue - SQUATTER’S TIGHTS - hosted 54 of the most talented musicians from the UK’s punk/DIY scene (and the Faroe Islands!) packing the venue each night with audiences of first-time festival-goers and seasoned veterans alike - all dancing and moshing (and even some crowd-surfing!) together into the small hours!
We are very proud to have created a space representing the UK’s punk, DIY, and New Traveller culture that has been so enthusiastically received, and are overwhelmed with the love and support we have been shown from all directions - thank you all so much ###
