The new vision for St Augustine's interior is the conservation of the original Victorian Gothic architecture with quality Italian marble, stone arches and columns, feature oak panelling etc and this will create a marriage with the contemporary materials used in a postmodernist 21st Century technology-enhanced & bioclimatic structure. The daring, yet visually stunning Brighton influenced interior d
esign has optimised floor spaces within the existing Gothic structure and this will be accessed via a modern communal lift and staircase. The project has been orchestrated to make full use of the newly created interconnecting spaces by keeping part of this beautiful building as a place of worship and a centre for spiritual enlightenment. There is now a series of cleverly designed spaces for Brighton & Hove community members and there will be several smaller optimised community halls and an exhibition centre for hire, smaller rooms to hire for classes such as keep fit and yoga, music lessons, Pilates, Tia Chi, Kung Fu, art classes, stress-busting groups, meditation, reading groups, business and networking groups, amateur dramatics, ballet classes, flower arrangement and cookery classes, contemporary, urban and traditional dance classes, children's group, youth centre, urban and classical spoken word events with a Brighton & Hove slant as well as other community-based leisure activities too numerous to mention. There are several small technology & arts and craft studios to rent for local Brighton & Hove community-based businesses and the centre is designed to also embrace larger corporate events and functions. Wedding reception and family functions rooms will also be available for hire within St Augustines Centre and these events will be composed and managed by the Brighton & Hove, Preston Park, Stanford and Fiveway based professional events management team. St Augustine's Centre is also be blessed with a chill-out area, a technology-based education training centre & a job club for gifted young people, the unemployed and gifted over 50's in addition to the HQ for Roche Barrett's orphanage based charity. The central hub of the unique St Augustines Centre development has a community-based art gallery bistro restaurant and coffee lounge with free fibre optics Wi-Fi connectivity points in order to cater for the needs of Brighton & Hove art lovers as well as those who appreciate wholesome quinine in a unique environment. The scheme is heavily influenced by the Brighton & Hove creative and performing arts and this is consistent throughout this unique community-based development.
