The great thing about doing henna is the amazing nails I get to see. I don’t do my nails- I used to when I was a teenager and I could get mileage out of a set of black nails at family meal times but my nails are usually covered in facepaint or henna so I just admire other peoples now. 💅 🇵🇸

Ode to David Bowie January 2016. Old work under my other name Wake-up Your Make-up. I tried and failed to merge the 2 accounts on Facebook and Instagram so I will manually post. So I have a record of my stuff. Until I sort out a website. I think I will finally get around to doing that when I am about 110 years old. And I can’t hashtag this because google doesn’t do that sort of stuff. Life can get so complicated in the cyber world. No wonder I prefer gardening. I’ll hashtag anyway. Just for the hell of it

Working at Glastonbury festival means I can arrive early which is a real treat. Seeing the huge PEACE sign painted on the grass at the Pyramid Stage before the crowds covered it. More PEACE less GREED. 🇵🇸

Back to the life drawing classes. It’s always challenging. The battle I fight between ordered perfection and bold experimentation. I’m unsure where I stand so I keep going back and trying again. Sometimes I scribble angrily over what I have drawn like a petulant toddler. Sometimes I roll the drawing up and take it home to lovingly placing them on my table to glance at approvingly. Trying not to listen to the news. It’s all so grim so instead I’m remembering two London autumnal visits to Greenwich park and Studio 180 in The Strand to listen to sounds and cast our eyes on art with 2 of my favourite people. Thank you to my son for recommending this. It was a great experience and education x
