Private Client Dining Club (PCD) is the premier business networking club for international private client professionals. Our events are designed to aid networking and maximise business development opportunities in a relaxed and sociable setting. The group provides a forum for the global private client community to connect and do business. The club currently hosts events in the UK, Jersey, Guernsey

, Isle of Man, Switzerland and Dubai. Further locations in Asia & the Caribbean will be announced for 2018. PCD was launched in London 5 years ago and now regularly attracts 100+ professionals for events from over 250 member frms. In the last 2 years, we have executed 60 events hosting 5,000 guests. The club has remained focused on the international private client community and membership is carefully monitored and controlled to ensure quality and relevance.

Brexit didn't simplify European succession planning. In many ways it made it considerably more complicated.

For UK-connected clients with assets or family ties in France, Italy or Switzerland, the questions have multiplied. Which succession law applies? Where does the tax land? Does the trust hold up under French or Italian rules? What happens when the governing law election and the situs don't align?

The Cross-Border Estates in Europe session at the PCD London Conference on 17 June takes a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction look at the planning landscape for advisers working with clients who have meaningful European connections.

Speakers include Andrea Vicari (Vicari Avvocati), Caroline Cohen (The French Law Practice) and Guillaume Grisel (Schellenberg Wittmer), bringing specialist expertise across Italian, French and Swiss private client law respectively.

The session covers the interaction between Brussels IV and UK-domiciled clients, France's IFI wealth tax and the usufruct planning that sits around it, Italy's flat-tax regime for new residents, and Switzerland's cantonal variations and lump-sum tax regime. I've been lucky enough to host some brilliant keynote speakers over the years. Next Tuesday at Drapers' Hall, Gregory Perdon opens the PCD London Conference — and I think this one is going to be special.

Gregory brings something rare: real, senior-level experience on investment committees combined with a genuinely fresh perspective on how AI and decision science can change the quality of thinking in high-pressure rooms.

His keynote "Smarter Rooms: AI, Decision Science and the Future of Board-Level Thinking" tackles the uncomfortable truth that most of us judge meetings by their outputs, not by the quality of the decision-making process that produced them.
