Since the very beginning, we were being snapped up for weddings and corporate events and we have not looked back since. This Saturday, we are back at the i360 on the iconic Brighton seafront for your culinary pleasure. Now, with our illustrious smokehouse menu.

Looking for a part-time job where you can get stuck in, serve amazing food, and work somewhere that actually cares? Vudu Food is hiring!

We’re a small but mighty independent smokehouse just down from Brighton station, serving up epic BBQ and good vibes. Born on the street food scene, we’ve been doing this for over 10 years — and our shop on Queens Road is thriving.

The Role

We’re looking for a Kitchen and Front of House Assistant to join our team for 20–30 hours a week. You’ll have regular set shifts each week so you can plan your life around them.

Day-to-day you’ll be:

Prepping food and making orders
Taking customer orders with a smile
Running food and keeping the space tidy
Cleaning down, opening, and closing solo

This role involves working mostly on your own, so you’ll need to be confident in a kitchen and able to keep things moving during both busy and quieter periods.

What We’re Looking For

Solid kitchen experience and confident food hygiene knowledge
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (non-negotiable)
Reliable, friendly, and efficient — you’ve got a great attitude and you’re not afraid to muck in
Able to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Physically capable of the occasional heavy lift (oil drums, for example)

We’re happy to train the right person — especially if you’ve got the experience and the drive but just haven’t had the right opportunity yet.

Perks of the Job

£13.50 per hour
One free meal (up to £12 value) per 6-hour shift
Full access to training through NCASS (certificates are yours to keep)
28 days paid holiday (after probation)
Chance to work at street food events with our sister business
Long-term progression to premises manager or even profit-shared street food events (if you're the right fit)
