I’ve got something new to share with you!
Those of you who’ve been here for a while will know that flowers have been a huge part of my life for years. You’ll probably also have noticed that lately I’ve been spending an increasing amount of time covered in paint while doing my MA in Creative Practice.
And somehow, the two worlds have collided…
I’ve created Wedding Canvas Club — a collaborative painting experience for weddings, inspired by the flowers and colours of the day.
I start the painting before the wedding, creating a background, drawing into the canvas and preparing a carefully curated palette of colours. Then it’s over to the guests — paintbrushes in hand, probably a glass of something in the other, adding colour, marks and a little bit of themselves to the painting. (Hopefully not all at once!)
Afterwards, it comes home to the studio with me, where I bring everything together and refine it into the finished painting, without losing all those wonderful individual contributions made on the day.
It feels like such a natural meeting of the things I love — flowers, painting, weddings and people — and I’m ridiculously excited to see where it goes.
I’ve set up , where I’ll be sharing the paintings, the process and probably a few unexpected moments along the way.
