3 years ago and I were bombing around Naples in pursuit of all good things and, as usual when we’re together, much hilarity ensued… For 30 years we’ve shared a love of food and fun and drinkies and Italy and now, on 23rd August, she’s coming to along with the fabulous Ilaria Padovana of to share an evening of produce and recipes from Calabria, Veneto, Lazio & Emilia Romana. I’ll be in discussion with them both about the myths and expectations of Italian cuisine as well as its place in the British kitchen. There will be regional wines to taste, a fabulous tasting supper, Ilaria’s incredible produce to buy or order, Rachel’s stunning books to get signed, amaro, amore, anything good that starts with an a, and I suspect much hilarity will ensue!
