Who’s joining us for Summer Tasting Tables this week?

We’re delighted to welcome Somerset Cider Brandy to the deli for delicious free samples, alongside Chocolate Arthouse and Purbeck Ice Cream. 🍎

Crafted on a 250-acre farm in Somerset where cider has been made for over 300 years, Somerset Cider Brandy uses organically grown apples and oversees every step on-site – from pressing and fermenting to distilling and bottling. The result? A truly handcrafted spirit, deeply rooted in tradition.

Only 2 days to go until our first Summer Tasting Tables event - and we’re so excited to welcome the fantastic Bride Valley Vineyard to the deli! 🍾🍇

Based in Litton Cheney near Bridport, along Dorset’s stunning Jurassic Coast, Bride Valley crafts award-winning still and sparkling wines from classic Champagne grape varieties, all grown on their beautiful 25-acre vineyard.

Join us this Thursday 7th August, 10am-4pm, for a celebration of cheese, wine, and aperitifs, featuring some of the best local producers around.

Bridport Youth Dance, led by the brilliant Nikki Northover, has released their seventh Dance Weavers film - "Stepping the Wild" - filmed right here at Symondsbury Estate 🎬🌿

Set against our atmospheric Holloways and iconic Colmers Hill, this beautifully choreographed piece brings the landscape to life through movement.

We’re passionate about both the arts and the natural world - and BYD has brought them together in a way that’s raw, poetic and utterly captivating.

Whether you stick to favourites like the Holloways Trail and Colmers Hill Circular, or venture off the beaten track on the Axen Nature Trail (4.1 miles / 1hr 30min) or Bilshay Trail (3.0 miles / 1hr 10min), you’re in for stunning scenery and peaceful paths.

Our Story

Symondsbury Estate is a countryside destination spot in the heart of West Dorset, just a stones throw from the Jurassic Coast. The Estate consists mainly of farmland, ancient woodland and residential, holiday and commercial property.

We currently have 8 holiday cottages - beautifully renovated and decorated, making the perfect countryside holiday spot.

At Manor Yard, the hub of Symondsbury – shops, a café and wedding and events venue, Tithe Barn, reside under Colmers Hill that overlooks the Estate.
