Discover the hidden world of fungi at Symondsbury Estate.
Join Nick Phillips, founder of Grown Up Mushrooms, for a fascinating guided walk through the woods and fields of the Estate this autumn.

On this 2.5–3 hour foraging walk, Nick will share his knowledge of the incredible world of fungi — from how to identify mushrooms safely and responsibly, to the important role they play in our ecosystems.

Along the way, you’ll discover more about the plants, folklore and history of the landscape, while taking time to reconnect with nature and enjoy the changing season at Symondsbury.

There’ll even be the chance to enjoy a fresh cup of mushroom tea brewed outdoors, and participants will leave with some mushrooms and mushroom-inspired goodies to enjoy at home.
This isn’t about taking from the land, but about understanding it — learning how fungi, woodland and wildlife are all connected.

Join us as we introduce our brand-new Afternoon Tea.

Enjoy freshly baked scones with Dorset clotted cream and Symondsbury jam, delicate finger sandwiches, homemade cakes, and your choice of tea or freshly brewed coffee.

Alongside our traditional Afternoon Tea and Cream Tea, we also offer a Children's Afternoon Tea—perfect for little ones and a lovely way to enjoy a treat together over the school holidays.

We're also delighted to be beginning a new partnership with Castlewood Vineyard, serving their Rosé Brut 2022 alongside our own Symondsbury Estate Classic Cuvée by the bottle. It's the start of what we hope will become a wonderful collaboration, celebrating exceptional local sparkling wines.

Available from this Sunday. Afternoon Tea must be booked in advance and we do ask for a £10pp deposit.
