CPR and Defibrillator training at the hall today! Brought together by Charlotte Humber on behalf of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance . For some it was a new insight into how a few simple actions can make a big difference to saving a life. For others it was a reminder and an update on best practice. 3 out of 4 cardiac arrests happen at home, so it's worth getting some insight into what you should do.
Defibrillators are very easy to use with step by step instructions when turned on. The defibrillator in Fiddington is in the red Telephone Box at the bottom of the hill. The code is C123X, then lift the handle. If you phone 999, they can also give you the code. It is checked regularly.

Lovely little Village Show at Fiddington on Saturday 19th July 2025. Opened by Juliet Harkness. Juliet has lived in the village for a long time and also produced the Village News Letters for years.
We also had a new cup to present, donated by Nancy Small, 'The Foundation Cup'. This was awarded for Best Overall In Show.
We only have a few children in the village but they entered some lovely, imaginative exhibits. The 'A Cake Made by a Gentleman' always gets lots of entries! There were less garden produce due to the very hot weather we have experienced recently. Cream teas were served in the marquee.
Thank you to all those who came along and made it a success.
